Have any of you seen the youtube video “Master Chief’s Darkest Secret” by HaloFollower?
Its a well-thought and interesting video that speculates the meaning behind the true legacy of the Master Chief. I believe that it presents some substantial evidence of Chief’s past, looking at in-game quote’s reaching all the way back to Halo 1. If you have not seen this video, I will be posting the link to it in this forum. Do you guys believe that it is true? Is there enough evidence to support the Lore? What do you think its implications will be on Halo 5 Guardians?

It basically states that Master Chief carries the subconscious influence of Bornstellar, the Forerunner who originally fired the Halo Rings.
Bornstellar isn’t dead though. I believe Geas are generally made from dead people… and usually it was humans who had geas of humans. I’m crossing my fingers that the iso-didact (Bornstellar) is gonna show up sometime in the next couple games and be like a hero or something…
I personally don’t really care for HaloFollower. I don’t care for their voices or the fact they jump to conclusions without evidence. Before Ur-Didact showed up in Escalation I had an argument with them stating the he was dead when he clearly wasn’t. I honestly wish ReadyUpLive would get more attention than them.
HaloFollower also seems to have a tendency to rip theories they hear via word-of-mouth, sometimes even getting facts behind them wrong or using quotes misleadingly. Not a fan of it either tbh. Many of their videos also have attention-grabbing titles but dance too delicately around the topics they present to give anything worthwhile.
I can’t really see how Chief would be able to receive Bornsteller’s geas unless at some unspecified point in time Bornsteller was composed or what have you and put into some ancient primitive human that would be Chief’s very ancient ancestor. I don’t doubt 343 is trying to make connections between the two, but the logistics of the theory are messy at best.
While I believe that MC could have the geas of Bornstellar, I do not think Bornstellar is dead, nor would I listen to Halofollower. But you don’t have to be dead to have someone recieve your geas, right? Like with Sundred and Bornstellar.

Well, I don’t think Bornsteller received the Ur-Didact’s geas per se. Bornstellar could hear the Ur-Didact, so a connection was made. But aside from resembling him and carrying his memories, I think that was it. Of course Chief and Bornstellar have no been together in the same was Bornstellar and the Ur-Didact were and the notion of a Forerunner even being able to implant a Forerunner geas in a human is debatable.

If it is possible though, I can see John getting Bornstellar’s geas. Though I would much rather him be alive if that was a factor. I guess in my perfect theory John has Bornstellars geas but Bornstellar will still be a key player in the current day, and still very much alive as well. xD
Halo Follwer is not a very good place for hearing Halo news…

Actually scratch that. I really wish Toa Freak’s Halo Canon channel would get more attention.
