Halo 5: Guardians Req Pack Certification Question

So, If you get a Req Pack Certification does it increase the likelihood of you getting that Req Card again OR does it make it so if I got one Energy Sword card I get two instead? Because if it just increases the likelihood of getting that card isn’t that… not good? Because if you end up getting all of the certifications you end up getting no bonus; furthermore wouldn’t it decrease the chances of getting a piece of armor? or an emblem because you are more likely to get an Energy Sword instead?

A certification increases your chance to earn more of that item you get a certification for.

Yea that doesn’t really tell OP anything he didn’t already say in his post.

@OP We don’t really know. According to the REQ intro, which is the only place I can find mention of the certificates, apparently it’s incredibly rare to get anything of that card type until you get it’s certificate.

> Certifications: Certifications are permanent REQs that, once unlocked, allow players to receive the corresponding single use REQ cards. There is a small possibility a player may receive one of these REQs without the corresponding certification but their chances are greatly increased once it has been unlocked.

And the actual certification cards themselves just say “Your Spartan is authorized to receive more of the assosciated REQs in future packs.” So it’s all very vague.

Can someone Post this Req Pack Certification type cards, what do they look like i have pulled some packs and i dont think i have seen them.

link to req info
i couldn’t post a pic but if you scroll down there is a section about permanent req card types and there is a pic of a cert shown on the right. it looks like a normal weapon card but has a little blue emblem on the top right corner. hope this helps.

Is there anyone that can give a good answer to this question? If I’m more likely to get a mongoose or storm rifle whenever I open a req pack because I have the certification for those I think it would be really nice to have the ability to deactivate/ reactivate your certifiactions so that you can choose between them.

it seems to me {if someone has said before} that if you get certified once u get that card again in the pack you receive extra thats what it looks like to me anyway.

Once you have a Certification you’ll start seeing those cards more frequently.

You should be able to sell certifications. Mongeese are a waste of button presses to sell for 50 points each. The card is a joke, they should spawn for free on the map.

Does anyone know what permenant weapons you can unlock? Im looking for a permenant sniper rifle sort of gun for warzone, The Battle rifle just doesnt do it for excessive long range. If someone could link a page which shows all unlockable weapons that’ll be great

I’ve been playing a lot the last week the games been out, I just hit SR 50 last night. What I’ve noticed is that being certified with a weapon or vehicle, is getting more cards per pack opened. When I first started playing and bought a gold req pack, I got roughly 10 cards. After being certified in multiple weapons and vehicles, I get more cards per pack I open. I’ve opened up a lot of gold packs, and I’m getting anywhere between 15-21 cards now per pack I open. I do not think being certified decreases your chances of getting new armor, helmets, etc of higher rank (Rare, Ultra Rare, Legendary) it only adds to what you would have gotten had you not been certified. That last part may be a little confusing, but I hope it helps. Certified = more req cards per pack.

I hope its like that because then the certifications would mean something when you have all of them

The certification is like a key to a door. Once you have that key you will see more and more drops of that item from packs.

The only perm weapons you can get are loadout weapons (AR, BR, SMG, DMR). you might know this already by the time you read this though.

increases the likely hood of getting something… Once you get the certification it increases your chances from almost 0 to much higher.

Many items you will be lucky to get one or two, once you get the certification they will drop more regularly.
This won’t stop you from getting armor because you’re guaranteed permanent unlocks through silver and gold packs.

For example, in the beginning all you’ll be getting is mongoose and needler or whatever. Once you get a bunch of certifications your packs will contain a mix of every cert you have.

Sr50 in a week? I hit sr25 in a week.

the description of the system is inaccurate. W/o cert you will never get the item (except for newly implemented daily win packs, you can get single use items). After cert. is granted you can then begin receiving that item, at a frequency denoted by the rarity [ common, uncommon, rare, etc.].
