For those that have ordered the Limited Collector’s Edition of Halo 5: Guardians, it is stated that a pre-download is available a week before release, however, for those that have ordered a retail version from their local gamestore or connect website, my question is does the retailers know of the earlier release?
They do, and the earlier date is a perk of the LCE.

Also that the earlier date is to allow preloading, so the game is unlocked October 27th 12:01 AM then ready to play.
