Halo 5: Guardians Release Date Ambiguity

On the topic of October 27th 2015, Halo 5: Guardians will hit the shelves, or for the Limited Edition and Limited Collector’s Editions will be available for pre-downloading a week earlier. My question to 343 Industries will the release date be classified as a local sub-date or universal?

Halo 4 kept in strictly within continental time zone with no bounds allowing other countries like Australia and New Zealand almost a day earlier access, or will it be like Hunt the Truth or Canon Fodder being strictly October 27th 12:00am PST, and whatever equivalent it is in other timezones?

From what I remember with Halo The Master Chief Collection at midnight eastern time the game unlocked for me. Going by that it would be midnight local time that the game unlocks, but going by other releases of titles before and since the time of unlock is typically midnight PST. In all honesty it could go either way with how Halo 5 is rolled out digitally. Now physical release is locked down by local time.

Good question I’d like to know as well, and will game stop know to give us the game early?

I mean it is not such a disgraceful thing (because I live in Australia) but for the benefit of equality and obviously spoilers surely a overall scheme would be in place?

I’d like to think the game drops at midnight PST just because almost all DLC and most game releases were tied to that time. Every now and then games will either release at local midnight or at 6 AM North American Eastern Time. Six in the morning was typically due to marketplace refresh time being 3 AM on the west coast, but now with the way the Xbox One functions this is never really a problem.

Most likely time of drop with all digital version of Halo 5 is 12 AM PST.
