I never get the special editions. You do get cool stuff, and I am a lore nut, but it’s not really worth it for me. I’m not a collector kind of person. When I find out what the bonuses for the standard edition are, I’ll probably order then.
And no, I do not think it’ll be broken. The beta is working quite well, for a beta 11 months early.

Limited edition
I’m thinking of getting the Limited Edition, I’ll just have to see what it offers a few months before release.
I get the game to play the game & don’t care about extra perks. I’ve never pre-ordered but never had trouble getting a game release day.
While I do find the game to be pretty fun, It’s gonna take a while before I trust another pre-order.
Waiting for my next duty station, then I’m getting collectors edition.

Even if a bunch of people decide to boycott preorders, there will always be thousands who still will. Plus, if a company decides not to have preorders some people are going to complain.

I’ll pre order once MCC is fixed, it would be crazy to do so beforehand.
Wouldn’t want to encourage a trend, expectations get lower and lower…

Everyone who pre-orders this game needs their head checked. 343i has not proven they can release a competent product (Halo 4) and they have not proven they can release a polished product (MCC).
Pre-ordering is a matter of trust and 343i has given you precisely NO reason to trust them.

Yeah… I just don’t understand how people can see what has happened so far… and still pre-order.
And what’s the point of pre-ordering anyway? The game is a year away.

I thought halo 4 was quite good, and it was polished for what it was, even if you didn’t like it. MCC is not polished but is a very competent game that has 4 halo games, 6 campaign and 5 multi player engines(Halo CE: Anniversary graphics not in multilayer) all on one disc. I believe that if they combine the polish they had on halo 4 and the competence they had on MCC then Halo 5 will be a beautifully crafted game.
Also some of us do trust 343i, especially with all the changes they have made from community feedback, including removing flinch, adding vibration option, and other such things that will be in the final game.
