Halo 5 Guardians PC?

While Halo 5 is good multiplayer wise I’d think MCC is the better Halo experience out of the lot of them.

Ehh not really. MCC is mostly for older Halo titles for players to experience, but if you want anything modern/up to date/loads of content, then I’d go for Halo 5.

Of course if you want a nostalgia trip or even if you’re a new player to the franchise, MCC is a good starting point campaign wise but ultimately for Halo MP I’d highly recommend Halo 5 instead.

I think MCC is better if you want more content, something to keep you coming back. Forge, Custom Browser, seasons, firefight, and plenty of campaign shenanigans. It’s not just Nostalgia at this point, MCC is basically the superior experience over the original titles.

not sure if anyone has been paying attention but many games from the september 2021 geforce leak have since been announced as coming to pc.

so i think it’s just a matter of time before they annouce a port.

Look, I know you don’t want this to compete with Halo Infinite’s multiplayer, so just release it as a campaign-only then. I don’t like having this literal plot hole in the series. You already ruined Fable this way, let’s not repeat it please.

Halo is not just multiplayer. We want the campaign. It;s the multiplayer than than be skipped and overlooked, not the story.

Nobody likes Halo 5’s story. It’s objectively bad. People love Halo 5 for it’s multiplayer.

You don’t skip an episode in a series just because some people dislike it.
Halo Infinite is not a reboot, therefore PC players deserve to see the campaign of 5. With or without multiplayer.

Which is exactly why Halo 5 needs a FULL port to PC not just Campaign, it needs both Campaign AND Multiplayer.

Thankfully, the MP is technically on PC already, just no Matchmaking of Warzone. They should just release that on steam and let the community have at it

They should just make an entire port of Halo 5 and release it on steam.

Can 343 just help the halo fans and bring h5 to steam/pc? We’ll all be happy!

This 100.000%! I cannot stress enough how much Halo 5 needs a fully fledged PC/Steam port. I’ve had enough of their excuses for not bringing H5 to PC. If 343 still isn’t gonna do it, then how about let the fans do it? It doesn’t even need to be hard at all, and it’s not even that hard.

I think 343 dare not let H5 on to PC now because doing so will reduce the number of Infinite players.

Does that really matter? MIDfinite already continues to lose players on the daily, and that’s a good thing. 343 will eventually have to abandon it for good and go back to supporting H5 and MCC. And quite frankly, MIDfinite is already a lost cause - Halo 5 going to PC (which IS an inevitability) will easily put yet another nail in MIDfinite’s coffin.

It may be very important for 343. After all, Infinite is the latest of Halo series.

Of course, I also hope H5 can be on PC. H5 not only has complete game content, but also more in line with the preferences of modern players.

I have SR153 in H5. I prefer H5 to Infinite. I hope to let more people understand the good of H5.

The only problem is that without a completly decrypted Halo 5 Guardians, there would be no way to have it work with Halo 5 Forge already. I can see a few things happening.

  1. 343 Decides to Upgrade Halo 5 in a few years and releases it on Steam and the Windows store as a “Halo 5 Guardians: Remastered” sort of deal

  2. Somebody Cracks Halo 5 Forge and Guardians and merges them to a frankenstein of a game and it eventually gets C&D by Microsoft.

  3. Somebody tries their very best to remake the game in Infinite with the new forge

  4. We get nothing and Halo 5 is doomed to die on Xbox One and Halo 5 Forge.

Truthfully I think the first option might be the most realistic, I dont think they would just forget about a very important part of the Halo story.

What they could do is;

  1. remove the xbox live gold limitation from multiplayer & co-op
or at the very least allow anyone to play online co-op

  2. add a fov slider

  3. remove online requirement for forge

  4. add 60/120fps mode for newer consoles

port to pc windows 10/11 and steam

biggest flaws in the game aprt from no splitsceen was gold for co-op and forge.

stupid requirement…bad enough having no splitscreen but locking co-op behind a paywall was just not cool. sucks they never bothered to remove those in a patch.

Which is why H5F was such a big deal when it came to PC, at least for a little while. You didnt need Gold to play that at all, just an account. It is a shame, they really do have the hard part done on PC already, they just need to add the rest of the content.
