yea on PC not being able to tune the settings is a big no no, not having 120 frames or 90 fov sucks play i set in a match for 5 hours with no one joining probably because people use forge for forge not for PVP

wish we had access to the halo 5 beta build its way better then the released game

my thinking is halo 5 should be its own thing and be confident in its design especially seeing as halo infinite is out now if your play halo 5 its because you like the spartan abilities and buffing them would make you happy

90 FOV for me and maybe the ability to change textures so its more like it was in the beta

cant you install it optionally ? you would have 3 boxes for halo 5 tho because you have campaign, multiplayer and war zone

maybe they can make it so you have to unlock gear variants by playing and using gear like get 200 needler kills to get the next version of the needler

id like them to update the armor customisation to be more like halo 4s with options

you would unlock the armor and skins through the pass

yeah, i’ve seen the video a few times on youtube, it got ubi’d on release.

i.e. graphics were downgraded.

They should get another outside team to do a remaster.

  • restore original beta graphics
  • add splitscreen
  • remove online requirement from forge and warzone firefight and add it to custom games to allow solo play.
  • add all dlc content so it’s all released in one package.

put on pc/steam and xb.

  • profit

dobut the above would happen though…at best we’d just get a port on pc and that would be fine but i do hope the forge online requirement would be removed and that we’d be able to play warzone firefight over lan and solo as well as online. That would be less work for them to pull off.

locking forge and firefight beind xbl gold on the console sucked.

Also imagine if they updated the armor customisation to have more options like in halo 4 while also added new options like attachments and undersuit customisation

The weapons and spartan abilities back in the beta were at their peek with how good they were I’d like to see them go back to that state, shoulder charge and ground pound would actually get kills and you could glide longer

Now that infinite is out I’d want them to make halo 5 more like it is its own game like halo wars with its own style of gameplay

Fast halo

i’ve never really been interested in halo mp, it’s always been the campaigns / firefight / sp ops for me. so can’t really comment on mp gameplay much.

i’m glad infinite has bots as that adds replay value for us solo / co-op gamers.

one of the reasons i want halo 5 on steam is so they can do proper lan instead of the garbage uwp lan app they released for halo 5 on console which needed a pc running just to play lan mp, didn’t even support co-op, only custom games. was a pretty worthless tool…even if it was free.

at least infinite has lan, so they learnt a lession from the last halo to some extent.

did you ever play warzone ? warzone firefight is awesome

Only Halo 5 thing on PC is Halo 5 Forge

I really hope they release 5 for PC, I started playing it on xcloud but it’s impossible for me with a controller, the game is much harder that it should be for me, even on easy, it’s just no fun.

I really need this game on PC or that they add Keyboard and Mouse support for xcloud.

With how much is missing or broken in Infinite, the least 343 could do is give is Halo 5 on PC, because at this point at least Halo 5 is a completely functioning game with all the expected systems in place when compared to Infinite, and that fact is really sad. Its like 343 showed us how much they could crush it in the awesomeness department with MCC, then they decided to use the launch of Infinite to drop their cred meter back to zero again. RIP Halo

Please, don’t let this request die!

I think infinite’s launch has been worse than the mcc.

Solution like others have said, get porting team to do halo 5 & hw 2 so we got something else to play while infinite is sorted out.

a halo 5 port would blow people away if they actually reworked some stuff, updated graphics and textures, sounds and UI effects… tweaking the weapons and abilities to be stronger then they currently are

big changes would be making armor unlocked through levels instead of req packs while req pack only drop XP boosts and req weapons

the armor customisation having the options of halo 4/reach would be cool to

global x2 XP with cross save is a must you want people playing all 3 games for different reasons, you play halo wars 2 an halo 5 to unlock those armor core in infinite but its also because these 3 games play completely different,

top down halo, fast halo, normal halo.

Especially now that Infinite is on PC too. Like Halo 5 needs to be brought over onto the PC! Hopefully it’s in the making.

If they brought over halo 5 to PC I’d want it to be the beta version of the game just with the UI sounds turned down alittle…

The reason would be people would be thinking they remade the game for PC when actually it’s just that the beta was so much better then the final game that’s what it seems like

The final release was waterd down

even though im not fond of Halo 5, I agree that this game deserves at least true port to PC

the multiplayer and forge are pretty great, and they deserve to have more people experiencing it.

I doubt the game would be released with beta graphics if it’s ported. i think most would be happy with a straight full port.

It’s definitely not the best halo game out there, but it’s still a decent game I’d like to replay once in a while! The Forge Tool isn’t that great, FPS locked to 60, FOV is at 70 or something way too low.

Plus, I actually really enjoyed the multiplayer, so you can bet I’ll be playing this for quite a bit if it comes to PC!

I haven’t touched my Xbox for more than about five minutes at a time since 2018 when I moved over to PC. So while I love to play Halo, and even want to play Halo 5, you aren’t gonna catch me playing at a locked 60fps, with low FOV, on a controller.

I prefer the freedom that comes with playing on PC. Namely FOV sliders, the freedom to use a mouse and keyboard (even if controller performance is often considered better in halo, I still prefer M/KB), the option to set my FOV to exactly 105 degrees (it’s been the sweet spot for me for years), and the freedom to tweak the resolution and graphics to my hearts content (Trust me, if I have the option to get to 240fps, I’ll usually take it.).
