Halo 5: Guardians should be on PC with all of the other Halo games via the MCC. Why shouldn’t it be? The competitive scene would only get bigger, reaching more people around the world. It would round out the whole game series once Halo Infinite is launched. The success that has already been seen coming out of the MCC with Halo 3 ODST and soon Halo 4 is evidence enough that there is a demand and an interest in the older games being released again to the now adult gamers who experienced them as a child. I have some ideas as to why it would not be ported to PC, 343i has also made statements about it. However what does everyone else think?
I don’t think they’ll add it to MCC. Maybe they port it to PC but not MCC.
The reason I say this is because MCC came out between H4 and H5, and all the halo games (except Halo Wars) have been added to it, up to the 4th one. They probably could add it to MCC fairly easily if they got it working on PC, but that begs the question, would Infinite eventually be added to MCC? The value is already really good considering what you get, and for them to increase the price might cause more outrage especially since a lot of people don’t like 343 right now.
If it does get added though it probably won’t be for a while since they’re working on Infinite now and all the post-launch stuff for it.
343i have already stated that there are no plans to add Halo 5: Guardians to Halo: The Master Chief Collection. They haven’t said anything about a separate port, however.
I don’t think it will be in MCC, because 343 said it wouldn’t be. I don’t think they will change their mind either, as Halo 5 still has a very active player base. Also, it is almost the same size as MCC, 97GB. I wouldn’t rule out a separate port though, with cross play involved.
