Halo 5 Guardians New Weather Effects!!!!

Hello yet again fellow Spartans, ODST, or casual Halo Gamers. I have a new or old topic that may or may not be pondering your thoughts. Will there be weather in Halo 5 maps from Storyline to Multiplayer to Forge. I don’t know about you guys, but I would love to fight in a blizzard only being able to see Things a few feet in front of me, and snow building up and impairing movement for infantry and vehicles alike. Seriously though, will 343 finally be putting snow storms, rain storms, or even sand storms, Thunder storms, or even Hurricane type conditions or what ever ungodly weather patterns could be happening on the planets we will be fighting on. Id like to see rain pouring down and narrowing vision and building up on my visor or window and have puddles build up. I would like to see weather be put in multiplayer and the ability to put weather effects into your own forge maps. So has 343 announced anything about weather or even suggested it? Do you guys want to fight in harsh weather conditions to change up the gameplay!!! I sure do!!! Anyways Thanks for taking the time to read this and put your opinions and thoughts into the comments below!!! Keep this forum alive for 343 to hopefully see!!! See you guys on the Battlefield in Halo 5 on October 27th!!! Through the scope of my DMR of course!!!

I can see dynamic weather definitely being a thing in future Warzone DLC or Halo 6. I’m not sure if Forge and customs can handle intense weather simulations though.

Campaign however, this is something I’ve always wanted. Weather so dramatic and atmospheric it defined the “next gen” cinematic experience. I was hoping we’d even get to walk in an intense sandstorm like the Halo 5 announcement trailer, but it doesn’t look likely.

But hey, here’s to hoping Halo 5 is as great as it looks and we can just add it to the wishlist for Halo 6.

Yes hopefully

As far as I remember you can adjust the wind in Forge 2.0; and fog is at least one weather effect that has been mentioned already.

Well, if forge is being delayed, I’m kind of expecting to be wowed by its features. Not holding my breath though.

Fog could set up so many good infection game modes. I used to try and get maps in the water to create that atmosphere. Unfortunately you can’t go underwater in any forge map now though. At least there’s compensation.

Imagine playing warzone during a storm and walking right up to a boss X)

One of the canvas maps has a lake I don’t know for sure but it could be shallow enough to walk or drive through

One of the issues with rain in forge is they’d need a way to stop rain from going through ceilings and objects. Like if you built an indoor part of your map normally it would just go right through it, they need some invisible walls or something.

There’s going to be some weather effects in forge can’t wait for that

That would be good to experience in the story. Hope they add it on H6.

I’m no expert on making video games, but I imagine it cant be too hard for that not to happen since several games already have weather effects like snow and rain and they don’t go through the buildings or walls and some games even have it where the water builds up on the windows. I mean in Halo Reach and ODST you had rain and it never went through the buildings or walls.

You need to be able to account all the objects you would be adding which would require a very dynamic physics engine.

Very True

That would make the game extremely interesting

That would definitely add more potential to forge maps and its been one of the features I’ve seen requested the most.

Can we seriously do three things? They’re, like, so super important, mmmkay?

  • Stop putting Halo 5 Guardians in the title of thread (or Guardains, in your case). It’s a H5:G forum. It’s not necessary. Seriously. - Stop putting exclamation marks after every thread title!!! - Stop titling everything in such a way that suggests it’s a newly discovered/found out thing about the game. It’s about as bad as click-bait. Find out why here.“Thanks, have a beautiful time!”

Looks so dope, but sucks that forge won’t be available until December.

Excuse me? I can put an exclamation mark in my title if I want, It suggest my excitement (Which is the point of the exclamation mark). Secondly if your going to start bullying people about simple typos, You sir are a pitiful human being and a poor player in the community. I put that just to label the topic. I never titled anything suggesting that I found anything new (In fact if you actually read the post you would know I said I have a new or old topic, clearly stating I am not sure weather or not my topic is something new or already talked about) , I simply wanted to get people talking about this topic, which is the point of forums. So no sir I will not quit doing any of those three things. Go bully someone else in the community or better yet leave. You don’t tell people what they can post about Halo and how to do it.
