What do you guys think the reward for reaching level 152 in Halo 5 will be?
I think it might be some sort of nameplate with animations and bright colors.
I’m right there with ya. Maybe a weapon skin too.
This has been discussed a few times over the last several months, but I’ll add my thoughts here:
I don’t presume to know what the reward will be, but 343 have stated it won’t be anything worth the grind. In other words, grind for 152 because you like H5, not because you want a reward. With that in mind, I think it’ll be something cosmetic along the lines of a nameplate, like you suggest. Though I really wouldn’t be surprised if a special helmet was the reward. It’s a good middle ground. Not too insignificant to make people angry (let’s face it, some people will be dissatisfied with a nameplate even though 343 have told them well in advance the reward won’t be anything crazy). But not too significant like a full armor set, which could disenfranchise casual fans.

Personally, I could care less what it is lol I used too care about that kind of stuff, but now that games have become aboat grinding for x hours just to get x, I don’t see the point. It always makes me laugh when I hear about people saying they HAVE to play for so long just to get x lol If it’s that annoying or frustrating to get it why bother? Games are supposed to be fun!! If the game you’re playing turns into work, you should probably stop playing it lol Just play the game if you like it and things will come

You unlock Spartan Locke as main character!
Hopefully its some vitamin D supplements. Fifty million XP means you didn’t get much sun for a few months.

People grind because it gives them a since of accomplishment when they achieve a reward in the end. But I do agree if the reward tuns out to be something crazy then 343i will get a lot of backlash from it.

Honestly I feel like playing the beta would give the same sort of rewards. Unless 343 comes out and says its something crazy like blue flames (which i doubt would happen), then I don’t think its worth it.

They claim it’s a small token of appreciation and nothing big. I can’t see it being anything huge like armor but maybe an emblem like in Halo 5. I’m currently trying to reach the the max Spartan Rank myself. I predict I should be finished sometime in August (September for the latest) if I keep the current pace I’m at.
I would like a token or identifier on the service record showing the 152 achievement.
Edit: This would be a lasting sign for the duration of Halo: Infinite. I prefer this instead of a cosmetic since the item will be switched out once something new comes along, but a service record identifier would always be there letting people know you hit max rank in H5.
Fingers crossed that it’s a special helmet for customization. I know it most likely won’t be, but I’d like to he rewarded at least that much for all the hours and hours I’ve spent in Halo 5. I’m not quite at rank 152 yet, but I hope to be befor Infinite launches.

Strongly disagree. That’s why Helioskrill is one of the most worthless helmets. They ended up giving it away in req packs. It makes it worthless. I’d be much happier with a nameplate. I want anything as long as not everyone gets it.

With all those free REQ packs in the past months its actually not too hard to level up quickly with just a few matches per day. I’m sure I’ll hit it pretty soon if COVID sticks around.
Yeah I hope its something that communicates clearly to others that they went hard af in H5. Also i think it would be cool if they gave some sort of exclusive reward (not timed) for legendary solo completion like how they did with helioskrill. Or make some cool armor for people who did 100% completion for h5/MCC and may i stress again how bad of an idea it is to make it a timed exclusive thing
Prob not worth the grind at all but you get some bragging rights with it.
