Since the beginning of the February 2016 season, I have experienced persistent issues with the Halo 5: Guardians Lobby Service when attempting to connect to Arena matches. In most cases, I receive the “ATTENTION: Unable to connect to the Halo 5: Guardians Lobby Service” notification. In some cases, I will connect to the Lobby Service long enough to enter the matchmaking queue, but will be booted before the game starts. This issue only began after the February update. I was playing quite frequently during January, logging roughly a 100 matches without issue, but now I can’t even join a game.
For context, I have an open NAT type. My Xbox One console is connected directly to my router via ethernet cable. I have a reliable 60mbp/s connection, and am not experiencing such networking troubles in other online multiplayer games on either my console or PC. I have reset my console multiple times. I have power cycled my modem and router. All I want to do is have a beer and play some Halo with my buddies after work, but for over a week now every time I’ve attempted to play Halo, I’ve turned off my console disappointed, unable to connect to a match. What’s going on here?
