I know this topic has been done to death, But I am genuinely curious.
Would people actually be interested in a Halo 5 Guardians Port to Windows 10?
I really like Halo 5, and Halo 5 Forge is nice to use to play some games.
But what I really want is to play the Campaign and Matchmaking on PC as well.
Besides this could be good considering the upcoming Release of xCloud and I think Halo 5 is included on that as well.
Personally, it just feels weird NOT having it on PC, now that MCC is almost done with the transition to PC and Crossplay is going to be added at some point, I really want this to be something the team considered. I also have been playing the campaigns with my dad, he has never played Halo before, and he really seems to like it. We are both anticipating Halo Infinite, and I think the PC space deserves to have the complete Halo experience as well as the Xbox One and Series X.
What do you guys think? Clearly there are a lot of people here who enjoy playing H5, would you consider getting a PC release? Does anyone play H5F? I try to host some custom games from time to time.
I always wanted to play Halo, but never owned an Xbox. So, when MCC was announced for PC, I was extremely hyped. So far, I’ve played Reach, CE and H2 two times and H3 one time (finished it yesterday). While I don’t care for the multiplayer much, the campaigns are so good and addicting! I can’t wait for Halo 3: ODST, Halo 4 and Infinite of course! And it’s bothering me as well that it seems like Halo 5 won’t come to PC anytime soon. I’m really excited for Infinite, but it’s weird that I’ll probably have to leave out the previous title… I know that Halo 5’s campaign is not that well received and that Halo Infinite will be more of a soft reboot, so it’s not that important. But it still hurts my OCD to think that one title will be missing on PC. Since Forge is already on PC, I really hope that they’ll port Halo 5 to PC before or at least a few months after Infinite. I don’t have to play Infinite at launch, but if Halo 5 doesn’t come out a few months later, I’ll just have to skip it.
So PLEASE, 343, bring Halo 5 to PC!

Thats a good point. Not many people have played 5. It is almost likley going to happen, its just a matter of when. Im glad to see that people are enjoying the campaigns still! ODST is one of my favs, so im sure you are gonna love that! Id reccomend at least reading a summary of Halo 5 if you want to play Infinite, although truthfully you might not need to.
I want it on PC because of the matchmaking population increase from cross-platform cross-play; plus, I’d hope it gives them an opportunity to potentially overhaul aspects of the title for any number of QoL improvements.
Probably only if it becomes a part of the MCC. The game will die very quickly on PC as a standalone thing. The micro-transactions would need to be ripped out completely and reworked into unlocks.
