Halo 5: Guardians Forge

Hello everyone! here is a bit of an interesting topic, Was it a good idea on 343’s part to hold back forge until December. So, Let’s talk about it!

My thoughts: In the long run I think it is for the better. My reasoning is when it is released in December it will have considerably less bugs then it might have had if it was released in October. Not to mention that forge will be constantly supported for at least a decent amount of time. And who knows, there might be a secret 343 hasn’t released that might be in the new forge.

So that’s my thoughts, what are yours? Answer in the poll and feel free to write you reasoning!

Yes, to fix it and keep it from coming out broken I’m all for it.

It’s better to wait a little more than a month and it be complete than it come out on launch and be full of bugs.

Both good and bad. My favorite part of Halo is forging maps and modes.
Good: Hopefully no bugs. More content. Better Forging experience.
Bad: NUUUUU!! I have to WAIT?! T_T

Otherwise, yes.

we will know if it was worth delaying when it launches in December.

From what ive seen it will be worth it. The last sprint episode shows alot of forge features

I suppose 343 will have more time to work on it and improve it. Downside is having to wait for it but in the end I’m sure it will be worth it.

I doubt very seriously that forge was held back because it was broken. More likely they wanted to do one of two things, or possibly both: add more content (1600+ pieces is an epic amount of building blocks compared to previous forge modes) and/or they decided to delay to help give the community a real chance to dig into arena gameplay so that they understand it completely before they try to create maps for it. And they probably also wanted to focus a lot of attention on warzone. Any of these is a perfectly legit reason to wait a few weeks. The wait will only make it sweeter when it finally hits, imo.

I’d like a working Forge then a rushed/broken Forge.

Yeah, if it was held back it will realistically be because it was not ready and 343 would not want to have everyone saying it was garbage with the amount of bugs it has and so on after MCC. This way the people who like to complain can only do so until December and there complaints now are answered with it will be here in December.

You make a good point.

Yea if it doesn’t work that will just make people even more mad.

forge better be good, it makes the game

I’m sure forge will be meeting many people’s expectations, I may be wrong though.

I’d of rather 343 delay the entire game of Halo 5 until EVERYTHING was finished, as opposed to them releasing a game with many unfinished assets.

They clearly didn’t even have enough time to create maps large enough to accommodate a big team battle playlist… hence why we’re getting community made forge maps instead.

weak 343…

If they had to push it back to work out bugs, then they were doing something wrong from the beginning.
