Halo 5: Guardians Forge Wish List

There are a lot of things I personally want to see in Halo 5: Guardians, but as a custom map maker i enjoy having a lot of customization options with forge mode. Tools available, objects at my disposal, and a lot of them (even if they all aren’t used). But I have a Wishlist for my Top 10 things to see in Halo 5: Guardians Forge Mode:

  • Objects, Objects, Objects. I like having EVERYTHING at my disposal. I want to see more structures, more explosives, more Map Gadgets, more weapons, terrain and most importantly: More Vehicles. - AI Spawn Points. With Warzone, enemies can now be spawned and battled with. In Forge, I want to see this be a usable tool in Forge. Grunts, Elites, Hunters, Prometheans. Team changing, etc. NOTE: I am aware that Warzone will not be forgeable, however that doesn’t mean that aspects of Warzone cannot be, such as vehicles and weapons. - Maps designed for forge, not the other way around. Forge World 2.0, Forge Islands. Blank Maps as well! On the Xbox One, Halo 5: Guardians will have even larger canvas’ to work with. - Environment Control. Time of Day, Weather, Etc. All of this would be effective for creating a picture perfect custom map. Imagine A dusk rainy infected match. - More Map Gadgets. Halo 2 Anniversary had a very nice amount of Map Gadgets, but i expect more to come with Halo 5 Guardians. Doors, Shields, Artillery, Bridges, you name it. - With Map Gadgets comes Scripting. New Scripting options, such as Array (activate 10 broadcast channels when activated by a separate broadcast), Team Only, or When Destroyed, Etc. - Budget Count. This was a nice feature within Halo 2: Anniversary, allowing for more objects and with Halo 5: Guardians on Xbox One, that means even more objects. - Detailed Objects. Halo 4 brought detail to an extreme level with objects. Effect such as lights, movement, etc can all be added in Forge for Halo 5: Guardians. - Effects. Steam, Fire, Smoke, Sparks, Water Drips. These kind of particle effects can really set the mood for certain areas of a map, making it valuable for Forge. - UNSC AIRCRAFT. If I do not see a Hornet in Halo 5: Guardians due to some sort of “Time Constraint” or “Storage Problem”, I will be very, very irritated. NOTE: It can only be a Hornet, not a Falcon. Falcons are pre 2552, Hornets are post 2558. It COULD be a hybrid or variant of a Hornet, but its got be a Hornet.
    OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

  • Locusts would be a neat edition. Similar controls as the mantis actually, but rather than Stomping, it would go into Overdrive. - Piloting Phantoms and Pelicans has been a must for years. Xbox One could potentially be capable. - Elephants have always been fun. Bringing it to Halo 5: Guardians would be nice for a desert map. - Map Gadgets > Light-bridge Sml/Med/Lrg. Scriptable. These are ALL Strictly Forge and ALL Strictly my personal Ideals. Comments welcome.

Give me a bigger version of reach Forge world and I’m happy

Add Skulls physics/abilities in trait zones.

I also thought for lighting a shadow light/ball effect.

How about a working fileshare.

add scarabs

Don’t forget to say please!

I wouldn’t mind some colour. Just allow the objects to be coloured different colours instead of gray.

Even if full AI teammates/enemies aren’t implemented, I’d still love to see auto-turrets, like the ones in Halo 4’s Dominion mode. Except I’d like a lot more, like heavy and light ground turrets, AA, and artillery. You should be able to change the team of the turrets or hook them up to switches to have your team take control of them.

Also, there should be a UNSC vehicle like you said. Though, a second-grade Falcon could be brought back. However, I’d rather see a Sparrowhawk in the game than a Hornet.

Made a wishlist about a week ago on a similar thread.

  • Select background music for use in Custom Games. The soundtrack encompasses every track from the Halo series. Can be cued based on certain parameters. - Spawn AI allies and enemies, even those not present in Halo 5: Guardians’ campaign. Such as the Flood and Brutes. Adjust their behavior and difficulty. - Equipment from Halo 3 and Armor abilities can be made as map pick-ups should the player desire them (even Armor Lock). - Adjust weapons’ rates of fire, effective range, lunge distance, aim assistance, and so on. - Make your character left-handed. - Dual wield any and every weapon, toggle-able of course. - Being unarmed. - Dropping your weapon on the ground. - Walking on walls/ceilings. - Zero-gravity environments, with thrusters, would make for interesting space battles. - Toggle which Spartan ai - Johnson and Cortana could be alternate announcers. - Skulls. - CUSTOM GAME MATCHMAKING!!! - Adjust vehicle speed. - Third-person gameplay
  • You should be able to change the texture of objects, e.g. Promethean, UNSC, Covenant, wood, old wood, concrete, steel, rusted steel. - A copy/paste feature. - As well as copy/paste you could save a group of objects so If you built an awesome watchtower and wanted it in another map, you could. - Like Gravity Zones in Halo 4, you could have a different special effect for each effect zone. - WaterI really hope somebody from 343i looks and this thread.

I think it would be great if they could let us spawn MAC guns, like the mass driver at the end of Halo Reach.

The only things I want are

  1. no limit to building but if there is a limit make it a limit that will be hard to reach.

  2. ai

  3. a large open area

  4. allow us to recolor the objects we place down

  5. weather system

Yes yes yes yes, Locusts FTW, this vehicle should’ve been implemented by now.

Why hornet? The phaeton and banshee are already 1 person flying air vehicles. The hornet is pretty much the same as the phaeton. They should make a new UNSC air vehicle that is more similar to the falcon. The only team oriented vehicle now is the warthog. Even the mongoose doesn’t require 2 people to kill anymore.

Did I… Did I just salivate a little? I totally did…

I agree with like everything you said, my most tops are:
flyable phantoms or pelicans
drivable scarabs
more objects, not the same objects we’ve known since Reach
UNSC flying vehicle
and more!

Different textures on objects. Forerunner, covenant, unsc, ect.

Terrain editor

If neither one of those two things are in forge, I’ll be extremely disappointed.

Terrain editor, ai in forge, telling ai what to do, skybox editor
