Halo 5: Guardians Forge // TOP 5 REQ-UESTS

Halo 5: Guardians Forge Mode is definitely an extreme leap in the series thus far, and I am extremely happy with the tools and objects that the game mode makes great use of. However, there are still some things that I think are a necessity in Forge Mode. Here are MY Top 5 Requests for Forge Mode.

  • DELETE EVERYTHING/SUBSETS. One thing that all other forge modes had that Halo 5: Guardians lacks is the option to “Delete Everything”. This feature expands to deleting everything within a certain subset as well, such as “Delete Everything > Vehicles” or “Delete Everything > Natural”. As well as this, “Delete All Of object selected” for those picky moments when a respawn point finds its way underground of between two objects. - WEAPON/VEHICLE VARIATIONS. I think the most fun I get out of Warzone is the different tiers each weapon and vehicle had to offer, such as the ONI Mantis, SPNKR PRIME, and the Twin Jewels of Maethrillian. So far, vehicles register under (for example) “Scorpion (standard)”. They could’ve easily just said “Scorpion”, but this sheds light that new variants will release with the next update, and I hope this goes for all weapons and vehicles as well. - FORGE WORLD REBOOT. I AM AWARE THAT DREAMS DON’T ALWAYS COME TRUE, except for Forge Islands I suppose, but this is something that I pray for. Halo: Reach’s “Forge World” was most likely the best decision Bungie made regarding Halo and its community aside from Forge Mode, Halo 4 lacked an open canvas, but 343 acknowledged us with “Forge Islands”. I cannot complain. However, Halo 5: Guardians three main maps, Alpine, Glacier and Parallax, do not meet the standards Forge World had to offer. (No, I do not wants something LIKE Forge World, I want Halo 5: Guardians to have Forge World) - WEATHER EFFECTS. Halo 5: Guardians gave us something fans wanted for a long time. Skybox Manipulation. 343 has delivered. However, changing the fog and time-of-day is still little to go off of. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE IT. I would like to have the ability to set dynamic weather conditions. Light Rain, Downpour, Cloudy, Thunderstorm, Lighting storm, Snow, Hail. These are dynamics that can REALLY give character to a map. Sniping in a storm? Absolutely, thank you. - SOMEONE STOLE ALL OF THE UNSC’s AIR VEHICLES APPARENTLY. Since Halo 4, Ive been waiting for a redemption of the UNSC’s air vehicles. Halo 3’s Hornet was astounding and massive fun. Halo: Reach introduced the Falcon, an early counterpart of the Hornet (2552). Having players man the chain guns on either side was phenomenal and the most fun I’ve had playing Halo to be honest. Halo 4… did not include either. . . but I digress. Halo 5: Guardians made me sour after again not having a UNSC air vehicle. I am very happy a Promethean vehicle made its debut, but I would be much happier with a Hornet… or Falcon… If I could have one thing on this list come true, It would be the inclusion of both a Falcon, requiring player cooperation and adds a new dynamic to gameplay, as well as a Hornet, only needing one pilot for solo battles (or 2 other players with rocket launchers :o)I hope you enjoyed and support my top 5 requests for forge mode. 343 has done an amazing job, but nothing is perfect. (not sayings its imperfect, just could have more features) There are many more things myself and others would love to see in Forge, some reasonable, some not. Is it really unreasonable to have a human air vehicle though? Like… Anyways, this has been my list, hopefully we see these come into play in recent updates.
