Hello, I just got Halo 5 LE and a brand new Xbox One on Tuesday for my 18th Birthday, I’ve installed Halo 5 to find out the Campaign isn’t playable due to it freezing and cutscenes lagging and freezes and loading screens never end. I’ve tried to search it up but all the results are ‘Halo 5: Guardians Crashing’. I’ve reinstalled Halo 5 and it still doesn’t work. Multiplayer works fine, but it’s just the Campaign that doesn’t work. If I have to, I’ll return the game for a whole refund, I don’t want a game that only works half way. I’ve already tried getting a different disc from Gamestop, still the same issue. I’ve cleared my local save storage, still no solution.
If someone knows how to fix this or has any suggestions to what might be the problem and a possible fix for this problem, I’ll be forever in your debt. I always thought Halo 4 was the worst, so far it’s Halo 5.
Sorry to hear that. Me and all my friends have perfectly smooth running copies of Halo 5. But I did have this issue in Halo: MCC. Are you by chance using an external hard drive? I found out that my external hard drive had been screwing up all of my games with issues similar to what you said you’re experiencing in Halo 5.

No, it’s 100% internal… my other game ‘The Crew’ doesn’t work but the other 2 games i have, Ryse: Son of Rome and Sunset Overdrive work fine. So it might be an issue with the xbox itself. Luckily I have a warranty on it so I can try getting a different Xbox. But I would like to try all possible solutions before going straight to the last possible solution. I would like to try and get support from Bungie on Halo 5, but their website is pure Destiny now. And all they have are automated phonecalls. Although, whenever I launch Halo 5, is always says Microsoft Studios, so maybe they might know a possible fix?
You’re not missing out, trust me.
The only thing I can suggest is doing a factory reset. This resets your one to original purchase state. You have to relogin and install all games and apps, but it might work.

Bungie doesn’t make halo games now. They make Destiny. 343 industries makes the halo games and Microsoft publishes them. I have unfortunately not experienced your issues. As another user said, it might be your Xbox.
