Halo 5 has everything to qualify being the best halo game…Aside from nostalgia (Obviously). This game seems to have a compelling story that actually makes use of the lore of the halo universe, it has a balanced 4v4 mode, something that we haven’t got since 3, and the abilities will make the 4v4 more intense since everyone has them. Warzone looks really refreshing and screams EPIC! Forge has way more features to make even more unique maps like fire and fog map effects, color changing for the items and grouping objects together…It may be more “Cod” like but that’s just the series evolving in today’s market. I don’t know about you, but if halo 5 delivers on the promises it’s making, it will definitely be in my top 3 along with 3 and reach.
I agree completely. If 343I holds up all the promises they made, and the game is running smoothly at launch, then this game might make it to my second favorite halo game.
I already know that for me Halo 5 will, I mean we have 2 Sides of the Story, just like in Halo 2, We have Blue team, Buck, the Arbiter, Halsey, beautiful looking Levels, Several Worlds to visit (favourite will already be Sangheilios with these old acient ruins) a promising Multiplayer (from what i saw and played in Beta).
While this all sounds great and everything, I feel like the Details that are missing will ruin the game for some. While they did have some incredible innovations, they also left out some of the Things we were sure we were getting, for example forge at launch, splitscreen and full armor customization. Most models also seem to be the H4 ones (The elites, grunts, jackals …) and they didn’t even bother to put new (or old) models for the SoS elites and just recolored Jul’s elites (which is not quite Logical, because in the beginning of Halo 4 it is said that Jul’s elites do not wear the ordinary Military armor). On top of that they also gave arbiter the mandible design of Jul’s elites, so that he wouldn’t be recognisable to most Players, apart from the Name (different armor, weapon, mandible design, voice actor (in most countries), and different behavior (more calm and democratic).
All in all, you’re lucky if None of These Features affects you (you liked the halo 4 design, you didn’t Play splitscreen, you are not that big of an SoS fan and you don’T really care that much about forge at Launch), but anybody who was really interested in one of These Features will prob not say that Halo 5 is one of the best Halo games.
I hope that most of These Features are just due to a lack of time (because they had to build the game from the ground up) and they’ll be fixed in later titles.

That isn’t that true, from what I’ve seen at least the Arbiters Elites are wearing either “Guerilla” Armor or a Full Body Armor similar to the ones from Halo CE - Halo 3
EDIT: See here: H5 Sangheili Armor
It will be hard to top my all time favourites but there’s no reason it can’t sit alongside them if it lives up to the hype and promises.

As far as I can tell the only Things they changed are the Color and the undersuits on the arms, but they kept the whole Halo 4 design of the helmets etc.

They also kept Chief’s Halo 4 Armor so what exactly you are on about then? I liked the design of the Sangheili Armor in Halo 4 and even more now in Halo 5 because it looks like a Hybrid of Pre-Halo 4 and Halo 4
From everything I’ve see up to this point, I don’t see how this won’t be my favorite Halo to date.

The Halo 4 elite designs were for Jul’s faction, who did not wear the ordinary Military armor.
The Arbiter’s elites in H5 does wear the ordinary Military armor, so they should have different armor (for example something similar to the H2 Anniversary, H2, H Reach, or the H3 armor).
Also, the Halo 5 design for the elites is exactly the same as the H4 design and not mixed with the pre-Halo 4 design. If you liked the Halo 4 design, then you won’t have a Problem with the H5 design, but so far the designs of the NPCs always slightly changed from title to title.
Halo 4:
Halo 5:
The graphics also seem worse through this, because the game Looks like Halo 4. If there were new models, it would’ve been easier to say that H5 Looks better, but with the same models, they also look the same.
oh I think its going to be by far the best Halo yet. I just hope it can live up to the hype I feel XD
I think it will probably be one of the top Halo’s. That’s why am going to the midnight launch early.

nope
What do you guys think now seeing as these are old posts did it live up to your expectations? I doubt that very much , shame because it has some serious potential. The implementation and the polished end product unfortunately isn’t there . But at times an incredibly fun game.
I love Halo 5. It made it worth it to upgrade to an Xbox 1. I have a few other games that are collecting dust, but I play Halo 5 every day. I even got my wife to let go of Halo:Reach because of Halo 5. She wouldn’t even touch Halo 4 because it wasn’t worth leaving Reach for. Thank you 343 and Microsoft (also Bungie)!
I only bought the original Xbox because of Halo: CE and Xbox 360 because of Halo 3. If Microsoft can keep cranking out solid Halo games, I will keep upgrading my systems. Bling $$$
… I mean, its good. First the campaign, I wouldn’t call it the best by any means. Halo having sprint and being more like Cod “evolving with today’s market” seems kind’ve shady to just brush off something 343 really shouldn’t have done in the first place.
Also, the game didn’t even launch finished, and made people like me lose faith that we aren’t going to get a good game on launch, and have Microtransactions that justify the means for “adding new content” later.
The content they made “in addition” only filled the gap, like modes we should’ve gotten, infection, Big team battle,
A carnage report, a working theatre, grifball!
That stuff that was integral to be there, wasn’t there and that’s not really respectable in my opinion.
We can all have opinions yes, but these decisions, not even accounting what’s in the game right now, deserve no praise.
Albeit gamemodes like Warzone are good fun for people like me, and make it ok to have these overpowered weapons in an unbalanced gamemode, and other beautiful additions like Forge which was, admittedly the best in the series.
However, when you have a gigantic armour library, but you forgot to add a customization to it.
That’s not good.
When you built up a campaign that had this Epic faceoff between Chief and Locke, which turned out mellowed into a minute of unskilled fistfighting and than the rest of the game ignoring that conflict.
That’s not good.
And when you don’t have that slew of community features, and the content that isn’t new weapon skins,
There’s problem here!
I’m by no means saying Halo 5 is a bad game, but I don’t think it doesn’t deserve any criticism, especially if you’ve played any of the previous games,
a bad example, I know, but Halo Reach was most of what everyone wanted from a complete, gratifying, effort leaking experience that was only 7 GBs
Halo 5 is really looking to be 40% of this unnecessary content like weapon skins, which is good sometimes! Don’t get me wrong.
I mean the Grunt Goblin was the best boss I have ever seen in Warzone and really made me want to play the mode just for him.
But it was silly stuff on top of, and kind’ve disguising missing content, LIKE gamemodes, like Forge,
and just putting off the fact that the campaign was very underwhelming.
Halo 5 is the worst halo game yet
