Halo 5 graphics will they be as good as halo 4

Halo 4 on next gen looks beautiful I have hundreds of campaign images of the unsc, covie, prometheans, skyboxes and the textures etc they look gorgeous but will halo 5 beat these beautiful aspects on a game check the images out here search Halo marines via Facebook leave a like I have so many images of halo 4 stunning graphics

Since Halo 5 is built for the Xbox One I’m sure it’ll look better.
What makes you think otherwise?

This seems more like an advertisement for your Facebook page…

But to actually respond to what the topic is supposed to be about, I think that the Halo 5 graphics will definitely be up to par, if not better than Halo 4’s.

It will look better, a lot better.

No I was just wondering what you would think of them sorry if I made you think different.

Judging by the footage, that’s just not true. It doesn’t look that much better than 4. But that’s forgivable since (supposedly) the scale of the gameplay sequences is much bigger. It probably would have looked much better if 343i didn’t push for 60fps from the start (and we would have had splitscreen), but oh well. A lot of people do see the difference in the framerate even if I don’t.

It currently does not look better than Halo 4. Remember, the game is still in the development phase. What you saw at E3 and the Warzone booths was just a demo, and the game was still slightly unpolished. Wait until a month or so before the release, or after the game comes out, and then we’ll get the best idea since the game will be at its best graphics.

Yeah true just hope they add more detail I mean the campaign demo was pretty beautiful the dog fights in the background massive cruisers, lighting details were so crisp only one can hope they’ll keep it for launch or even improve upon it

That’s a bit of a shaky excuse. Developers put a lot of work into demos to make them reach a launch-level in terms of graphics. Sometimes the demos look even better than the final releases. The Witcher 3 and Metal Gear Rising are a good example of that. I think it’s called a vertical slice or something like that where they focus a lot of resources on a small part of the game before showing it off.

What is funny is, when Halo 3 came out I was like “man it doesn’t look much better than halo 2!” I think we are so used to graphics of Halo 4 that our expectation are so high for future Halo iterations. MC collection really shows the difference in graphics and textures due to the resolution being equal on all games. I think we will see an improvement in lighting and textures in the finished Halo 5 but because the art is very similiar to H4, we wont “feel” as if graphics improved dramatically. The biggest difference, I believe, for Halo 5 will be in gameplay.

Good point. The models per se are extremely similar.

Another reason for that feeling of similarity is probably that Halo’s art style isn’t hyper-realistic. If you look at some of the SW Battlefront images it has a photorealistic look (especially surfaces, light, shadows) - H5 still has that ‘comic’ touch.

Have you seen images from both games next to each other. The difference is subtle, sure, but it’s still a pretty big difference. Lighting is a lot better, there’s a lot more detail on pretty much everything.

I will not be giving a “like” to that page. But back on topic, I hope it looks better. I hope they don’t pull a COD and use the same chitty graphics for 3 games in a row.

Of course it will look better.

Halo 4 is gorgeous, but I think some of you need to hop into the game and take another close look around. Play the mission “dawn” and look at the texture details, they show the limitations of the 360.
Halo 5 will look a lot better in terms of textures. There’s also the matter with polygon count; it reaches a point where if you add more polygons to an asset already high in polygon count that the difference is barely noticable.

The Game Informer screens look much more better than Halo 4. The armor and skin detail is way better, just look at the jackals, the scales pop out more in Halo 5. The lighting is also more realistic along with all the reflections. The only thing ruining the game is the lack of a great AA and terrible explosions, both are fixable since its only 5 months away. The final game might not look as good as Uncharted 4 but this game has much more going on than a scripted game thats only fun to play a couple times and then trade in after a week.

I agree H4 truly was stunning especially the campaign.

The H5 mp beta already looked as good as halo 4 campaign, and that was the H5 multiplayer beta. The campaign ALWAYS looks better than that. So for sure the H5 campaign is going to look better than the H4 campaign. Audio will be better too.

You can tell that Halo 5 has the parts to look fantastic. It just needs to be polished and resolution bumped up to make the textures pop better and cleaner, they look a little washed out at the moment but the Halo 5 beta looked great, just have to wait and see.

The only thing I’m worried about graphics wise are the cutscenes! I want them to be better than H2A… and I’m not sure if they will be. I’m confident the gameplay will be the best we’ve seen Halo look… but Blur did such a great job with H2A’s cutscenes with lighting and textures and overall presentation… I want to see that level of fidelity in the H5 cutscenes.
