The reticle isn’t on the bottom of the damn screen!
When the servers -Yoink- the bed last night, I jumped on MCC for some Infection and holy hell, I felt like I was tilting my head back and looking down. You know, like that face you make when you are startled and horrified at the same time?
What even happened to the reticle in those games? Were they affected by gravity? Were they not able to use Clamber to reach the top of the screen?
My first Halo was Halo: Reach (think what you want but at least I’m here now :P).
When they announced MCC at E3, I thought of it to be a perfect opportunity to get into Halo. So the first thing I did was download the Reach demo to get familiar with it early (and luckily Reach was eventually free), and when I started playing I thought that I had broken the game because the reticle was in the most awkward position possible. That demo was also abysmal.
I’ve gotten used to it since, but I still don’t understand the point of that reticle position.
You’re right, I’m so glad they put the reticle back in the middle of the screen. Strange to think we’ve been dealing with reticle down-syndrome for almost 10 years until now.

See, I always noticed it a little bit, but after H5, RB6, and FO4 for a longass time, it’s brutal to play now.
