Alright let’s start off with the good things about Halo 5:
NEW! - Hunter Cannon Req
Now let’s look at the bad stuff in Halo 5:
-No split-screen
-
Req system
-
RNG unlocks
-
Little to no Original Content
-
Too many reskins
-
Custom game options
-
Lack of Game types
-
Alienating the Casual Community
-
Buggy updates that seem untested
-
Megablocks Forge pieces
-
Grifbal ball explosion doesn’t kill player/end round
-
Map design is just flat out bad.
-
Spartan Abilities (thruster, Spartan Charge, and ground pound)
-
Complicated Forge controls
-
The “T” rating
-
Bullet Sponge enemies
and that’s all I’ve got for now.
There’s been too many of these posts but it’s always interesting to see what people think
forgot the disapointing story

The story should go without saying.
You forgot all the backpedaling they did from Reach & Halo 4 in terms of Arena Rules:
EDIT: APPARENTLY I NEED TO SPECIFY THAT THESE ARE GOOD CHANGES
-no loadouts
-equal starts
-power weapons on map
-power ups on map
-no ordinance drops
-no perks
-no armor abilities (spartan abilities are shared by all players at all times, not part of a loadout that can vary from player to player causing imbalance)
-no flinch
-descope
-no kill cams
-no grenade indicators
Halo 5’s Arena is basically Halo 3 with modern movement mechanics (in terms of the rules, not talking sandbox, obviously the weapons play a lot differently). Warzone is a another story, however, but that’s the point of it.
I never understood why a T rating is bad, I know there’s a bit less gore but that’s mostly because of the lack of flood and these days the ESRB is much more lax with its ratings.

So are those good changes or bad changes?

I guess that depends on what you like. I think many people consider them good (like myself). But there are also a lot of Reach and Halo 4 fans (also like myself, then again, I’ve never played a Halo game I didn’t enjoy). I just prefer the classic arena rules more. I think the majority of people would consider them good. Especially long time fans. Many of them probably would consider it too little too late (I know many who do) but they’re “classic or bust” and basically want a Halo 3 clone even though they claim they don’t.
I personally like the mix Halo 5 has in Arena of classic rules with modern movement, so I’m going with “good”.

You name some minor issues while you forgot to mention MUCH bigger issues like customisation, the UI, theatre being broken and the story.
. The forge controls from previous games wouldn’t work for this much better forge.
. Grifball explosion isn’t an issue its just a small option you would want in the game.
. The T rating doesn’t -Yoinking!- change the game.
. The map design flows well with the game like it or not.
. Well at least the forge pieces are better than reach’s.

2 out of all your points are WAY off, the game flow is trash, insta-spawn killed in Arena thanks almost entirely to the poor maps design, not poor as in graphics, but poor as in ideal, ALL of Halo 5’s Dev arena maps are far too small to even be considered Halo maps save for Molten and Overgrowth. The second thing is, the “T” rating does indeed change the gameplay as many younger players, who SHOULDN’T be playing Halo, I’m talking single digit ages here, are taking over while the good/decent Halo players are leaving en masse due to this problem as this “new crowd” not only doesn’t know how to play Halo, but are just campers or spawn killers, not to mention anyone who hasn’t played any Halo before H4 doesn’t even know how to use their radar. This is serious though, whenever I’m in Arena and sprinting up to some dude trying to assassinate my teammate or just running around the map, they never turn around to fire at me. It shows that if the fan base doesn’t even know how to use the simplest of Halo’s features, they shouldn’t be playing, that’show the “T” rating changes gameplay, because we get, in a word, dumber, players.

So can you put these selections into a good/bad category so I can make sense of what your point is cause I’m confused?
its mixed the lack of offline support and local multiplayer options is a real big negative but for online play it’s decent
Pros:
•dedicated servers
•best forge yet
•competitive multiplayer
•better ranks than last few games
•enhanced custom options
•warzone
•dumbed down the abilities
cons:
•Dedicated servers don’t seem to have maintenance support from my perspective, it’s nice to have them but why if you won’t support it better?
•Bad community share system when it comes to sharing bad -Yoink- forge content
•ranks still need work even if it’s better than last few games
• aim system blows and is not consistent even with customized options to “fix” them.
•warzone still needs tweaks and needs the req system to improve “if” they’re going to add it in h6 as well.
•still have abilities in play even if it’s dumbed down
•lacks many game modes/playlists
•to much req focus
•social modes still track stats and W/L
• no armor to actually unlock by achievements
•magnum sucks as a utility weapon (but does have potential if 343 changes it)
•btb doesn’t feel like btb anymore
•can’t make up our emblems like h2,h3, or hreach
•bad map designs from dead zones, bad spawn points, to many entrances/points of attack (due to abilities)
•some unnecessary changes to traditional game modes
•no split screen
list goes on, but you get the gist.

They’re all good if you prefer classic arena style Halo. They are things that were added in either Reach or Halo 4 but removed for Halo 5.
You missed the insanely close range Motion Tracker.

Okay, cause I do like armor abilites but mainly for cool customs.

I do too. I’m one of those people who like Classic Halo (my favorite is CE and I’m playing Halo 2 right now) and also Modern (big fan of Halo 4 & 5), so I’m often torn. So I think Halo 5 having a mix of both is nice (though I think most of the Classic people either want all or nothing, so it might be in vain). That’s the problem is a list like this: it quickly gets into objective v. subjective territory … especially once people start talking art direction.
> - Crazy cool Forge
For some people. I have tried and tried but I still can’t get used, or use the new controls for forge. It has spoiled the game for me. There should a ‘Halo 4 Controls’ option for forge.
‘‘well just play with forge for a bit, you will get the hang of it’’ - aint nobody got time for 'dat.

I agree, I managed to get used to it, but not well enough to make a MM map.
