With Battlefield 4 making the next step Levolution something that blew me away when i saw it yesterday, it was the one thing that they are selling so amazingly that well. BF4 will be my Main Game for awhile, maybe until Destiny or Halo 5. But with BF4 Premium you will get DLC earlier and with Levoluon being the super version of changing the map in gaemplay it seems like something awesome that many people will go to.
THe reason i amde this thread was i wanted to know what you guys would guess 343i would do to be Halo 5’s big ringer. Every game has it so what will they do. I hope they just don’t copy and paste then think “We’re Done!” Battlefield has a formula that it has yet to leave after…what 15 years. I’m not good on the BF Timeline but Battlefield has stayed to its roots and is still a giant. Halo 4 on the other Hand is sort of like a Giant who is acting what people what him to be, instead of being itself.
With BF4,Destiny and Halo 5 I will be set on entertainment for the next few years but I want to know what Halo 5 will have that will blow people away, because if you ask me i might not be too surprised because i think everything has been taken. If 343i came up with something new and amazing that will…do something like this,
When 343i released the first halo 4 trailer that was enough to make me want to get the game. Now that Halo 4 is out and 343i promises to do better next time hopes are high but another standard Halo clone won’t do it in this new gaming Market. Hell even COD is going for changes in gameplay to keep up. Who knew that would happen.
So please list your ideas on what would blow you face off if 343i announced it for Halo 5.
p.s. If Dice is doing this with Battlefield WHAT WILL THEY BE DOING FOR BATTLEFRONT 3!
Another “Halo clone”… when is the last time we got one of those? Halo Reach changed things significantly and Halo 4 turned the franchise on its head.
My response before I got to that part of your post was essentially that I don’t think Halo needs to try and keep up with the Joneses. That is how you end up with an identity crisis. I think Halo needs to focus on refinement, not redefinition.

Halo 4 is Reach improved. That is what i meant.
Halo needs to be separate for the other games like it has been before 4. Alot people complain Halo 4 is space COD. I disagree but Halo 4 is just Reach, tweeked.

I think with new console tech, server based multiplayer, and 60 fps leaves the door for a range of new and exciting possibilities!
Can’t wait to see what will happen!

Yet another reason why 343i has to come out swinging.

Me too, especially after armor lock was made semi tolerable.
And I’m not sure how you can say that Halo 4 is “just Reach improved” with the introduction of infinity settings, no map spawns, default sprint, and significant changes to most of the objective game types.
That isn’t even addressing loadouts and promethean vision which are both VERY significant “evolutions” of mechanics introduced in Reach.

lol, you sound like an AL fan but don’t want to say in case you get flamed XD Don’t worry the forums are rather quiet atm.
I think AL was a rather fun AA and definitely had potential for good custom games, just prolly wasn’t good for matchmaking.

I hated armor lock. Used it when I first bought Reach after a long period of not having xbox live but switched to sprint because I recognized I was doing the same things that upset people that they were doing to me.
The title update that made armor lock so you could reduce its duration with a well placed grenade made it so it was simply frustrating, not a pause button. For me it dropped armor lock below jet pack abuse on my list of things i would change.

ah I always used sprint, i was rather keen to get stuck into things

I don’t know how to respond to this. I’m not sure if you are bashing 4 or if you are siding with it.
Are you saying 4 isn’t Reach improved. I am confused.

I wasn’t supporting or casting aspersions on Halo 4. I was just pointing out that it is a very different game than Halo Reach. Very little remained the same beyond jet pack, hologram, camo, and two weapons at a time.

I can’t explain the differences. I have rewritten this post several times but i just can’t explain it to you that i think you will understand. I’m not saying you are stupid. I’m saying I know you want know my logic and how it works and i have to think on a different level to explain it to you otherwise it will seem like gibberish.
