As I level in Halo 5 I get XP and my RP. It feels great when I save up my RP points and open that REQ pack and reap the random rewards I get. The thing is that in Halo 5, it doesn’t reward you with a lot of unlocks through leveling. But I can’t help myself to remember the days when RP and XP was one in the same (like Reach’s credit system). As a low lvl in Reach, players would level up to unlock “cooler” armor. In Halo 5 a level 6 can have the same Ultra Rare armor as a level 100, which kinda degrades its value in terms of rarity.
In short…
Halo 5 unlocks are rewarded to you through a goodie bag
Halo reach’s unlocks are rewarded through leveling (Personally I feel this is more satisfying)
I don’t really care about all that stuff, I know I’m in the minority here but I play games for fun and don’t need “incentives” to keep playing. I play until the fun stops, not the levels and rewards.
