I don’t play multiplayer often and my SR is also very low. But I was just curious about what will be the gift in Infinite for reaching SR152 in halo 5 would be. What are your thoughts?
Hasn’t been announced, and likely won’t be until the game releases. As for speculation, I have a few ideas:
- Name Plate - Unique Emblem - Special Helmet - Armor EffectAnything more might start to cross into the realm of disenfranchising the more casual gamers who make up the bulk of 343’s customers. Besides, 343 have stated multiple times that the payoff alone will not be worth the grind. So people should be grinding because they enjoy playing Halo more than they enjoy getting cool stuff.
You get a postcard telling you to go outside more often.

Well I play cricket outside. Video games are just for my weekends.
a REQ pacak Kappa, maybe a unique nameplate and armor
It’ll probably be an emblem or a nameplate like HappyPlace says. I think Helmet or Armor Effect is more substantial than it’s likely to actually be, but nobody knows at this point. 343i has come out and downplayed it as nothing especially crazy, so it’ll likely just be something that’s visible to other players in lobbies and when they view your profile in-game that hints them off that you’re an H5 alum. Considering the minor extent of whatever it will be, I personally am not incentivized to grind for it online. But I’m mainly a PvE Campaign/Firefight player, so H5 really wasn’t designed with me in mind in the first place.
As for the “go outside” argument going on- don’t we all have better things to do than judge people on a niche video game forum? If people want to put the time in for SR152, good for them. If you’d rather prioritize soaking up some sunshine on a bike ride or walk, good for you. Criticising people on the Halo forums for playing more Halo than you do is just a divisive non sequitur.
