Halo 5 Getting Less Stable

Definitely getting way more crashes (some of which are to the Xbox Home), in-game lag and in the REQ UI, and the now legendary audio cut-outs before games. That last one isn’t that bad though since obviously nobody wants to hear Palmer. Nevertheless, a few months from now when this game is like 1TB of data from the endless updates it will seemingly crawl to do anything. Looks like 343i just has difficulty with sustaining a product without simultaneously crippling it post-launch. This could be a problem down the road and 343i doesn’t have the best track record in this area so things could get interesting.

I’ve been noticing all of the above since the last update, with the exception of the CTD (crash to desktop, to borrow another term made famous by Microsoft)

The audio stuff isn’t too bad, but the screen freezing for a moment when someone nearby gets shot with a gungoose is maddening.

There’s is a noticeable deterioration. I wish they would at least acknowledge it.

Yea lag was horrible in one of my last games and the intro music for each game is very choppy and constantly turning on and off. Never had this problem before

I crashed to desktop for the first time in months yesterday wonder what happened

Haven’t experienced any crippling lag, but the choppy audio’s happened to me nearly every other match.

I was wondering if anyone else was getting the weird music bug. It starts cutting out then coming on again when a game is loading.

Playing Super Fiesta last night I saw quite a lot of crazy stuff. Some of the worst lag I’ve ever experienced. The audio cutting out on the intro and skipping the intro entirely and going to the start but everyone had always ran off to fight!

Is this because of all the new updates? Maybe their system can’t support all the additions?

Ive been noticing this also… day by day things seem to be getting worse. It almost seems like the game is standing on tooth picks! But I do think they may need to start looking at doing some maintenance on the servers. And start fixing these bugs before sending out other updates over updates that have bugs in them! Its seems to be snowballing and getting out of control. :-/

Yes also been experiencing all these problems, it was much better when they had region lock in MM. very disappointing to say the least

There something definitely wrong with H5 at this point. I’ve noticed it too with several of my games in the past few days having screen freezes and random disconnects despite having a stable connection. This was not the case before the GoM update.

I agree… Seems like these problems really became evident when the region lock was removed… And to be honest im not sure Halo 5 was designed to function properly with region lock being removed… Very interesting!

Enemies from far away look like gifs. Like really really bad.

Maybe Halo is just having a Battlefield moment.

That’s another good point my friend! It seems many of these things maybe tied together! The game is shaky in the knees… I just don’t want to see H5 have a complete melt down. They need to get ahead of these problems. Other wise we might be going down a road that wont be pleasant. :-/

The 30FPS animations are so that the game can play at a relatively locked 60FPS. At close range, the animations are in sync with the frame rate, but at long range, it is definitely choppy.

Almost every game I’ve played in over the last week or two has been having 1 person minimum that is rubber banding. Along with whole team screen freezing more often.

Same, consistent issues across the board. It has gotten consistently worse as of late, Im sure a fix is “coming soon”

You seen the forge glitches, if you duplicate a group and then immediately move the second group it will only move one of the objects.
