I dont know if its just me but H5 get boring after 1 1/2 hours. It feels like the game will be fun for a month or 2 and thats it. Like titanfall alot of people was hyped for it and the population dropped even though it was fun.

what I do get tired of is the br kills around walls or losing a br duel because there gun seems to do more damage
I agree the Halo 5 Beta does get boring fast, but that’s more because it has the Call of Duty fast paced competitive MLG feel to it.
Competitive games tend to ware you out much quicker, especially if you don’t have a team. It’s never fun to constantly get outplayed, or end up on the losing side. It’s also pretty stressful when playing a more evenly matched team because the games tend to drag out and be more intense.
However, Halo 5 for me was also very addicting when playing with friends, and I kept getting the urge each day to login and play a game or two.
BR starts are to blame. AR and Magnum starts were so much better.
I got bored pretty quickly, I think I played about 2/3 hours. its just dull. How theyve come up with this after the near perfection of the halo 2 aniversary multiplayer (when it works!). I would have thought they’d base Halo 5’s multiplayer on that. I actually thought halo 4 was better!
It gets boring for many reasons there’s very little progression, you can’t lose your rank once you get it, ranks are too close together so there’s almost always a noob on your team that goes negative 15 which ruins the competitive element, friendly fire is off (why?), you can’t hear the other team talk, it pains me to say this but halo 5 looks like its gonna be like destiny

It’s a very simple answer. The competitive community wanted halo back the way it was. They wanted all customisation options Axed, all randomisation Axed, everything that makes each game feel different or interesting is gone. What the honest hell did people actually think was going to happen? Of course it’s boring now… we’ve all played halo 1 through 3 a thousand times, I was officially sick of the lack in verity, now people are calling it back, of course its boring. There is no dynamic any any maps, where is the fun in playing the same game over and over again with no rewards coming from it? It’s the players that are ruining this game. You can’t ask for the same thing you’ve already played, then blame 343 for messing it up.
Halo 4 wasn’t perfect, but it was that start to great things. Every game felt new and exiting, that fuel rod that dropped into the middle of the map that nobody expected made it a whole new game. If people were using annoying load out weapons, you could adjust your own to knock them down. Having my own personal weapons to work with, skin and change at a whim made the game much more enjoyable to play, there was always something new to work towards. Halo 5 is just dull. There is no reason keep playing multiplayer. You get nothing rewarding out of it in the slightest, nothing. This is the thing that drives modern games and keeps players coming back, the hope that new day will be another stepping stone to something you actually truly wanted. But as you know Halo players think this is stupid, they clearly demonstrated that over their hatred of halo 4.
And all this nonsense about Halo being turned into CoD. Clearly people have never played the two of them… where is the resemblance? Halo is a game where you fight aliens and super soldiers in space, with intricate alien weaponry, low gravity, powerups. How is that anything like cod? The time to kill isn’t the same, the radar isn’t the same, the HuD isn’t the same, controls and mechanics arent the same, halo has vehicles. Just shows how ignorant the community is. They’ll never admit to it or even have enough sense to see that they are the ones ruining this franchise. You can try and argue it all you want, but after seeing halo 4 and saying to yourself “This Halo game sucks, I want the classics back.” If you didn’t think to yourself anything other than that, then Halo 5 is exactly the game you asked for. It is something that brings out the best in old halo, classic features, classic weapons, same multiplayer structure, same ranking system, 100% balanced gameplay. Without literally remaking the old games (Which they do anyway) this is the closest thing to a modern halo game.
