Okay, so I’ve personally really never was a huge fan of Halo. I’ve owned PlayStations all my life, so my experiences with Halo are very thin; Limited to Co-Op over at friend’s houses.
I never really felt compelled to play or look out for a Halo title. But Halo 5 has recently caught my attention extremely so. Gameplay is quick, I love the movement, the design if the unlockable armors are so satisfying to look at, etc. So I downloaded the Forge version for PC, and it’s just as fun as I thought it looked (honestly a little addicted to it).
I looked to see if I could just buy the full game as I was (still am) having a blast on it. And I saw the the Forge version released back in 2016, and there’s no full version on PC.
My question is; Are there any plans for Halo 5 to get a full release on PC? I know the studio is occupied with Master Chief Collection and Halo: Infinite, but I would enjoy to atleast get a no, yes, or maybe upon Halo 5 for PC.
Thanks for reading (I’m not even sure if Devs even read these Forums, so the question may be pointless to ask.)
343i has confirmed there are no plans to bring the full Halo 5 experience to PC. In my opinion I think eventually Halo 5 will be ported to PC. It would seem odd to not include it on PC as it would be the only campaign missing for PC players.

Ah. Gotcha. That’s unfortunate. I’m not really interested in any other Halo if that’s the case. Unless if Halo: Infinite has the same Armor designs, gameplay and ADS like Halo 5, then I’ll just hope for Halo 5 to fully release.

I’d give Reach at the very, very least a try too though, and it’ll be the first of the MCC to pop onto the PC. If you really liked how 5 played, then 4 might be up your alley as well. Anything earlier though and probably not. Ironically, the original Halo actually tends to have really quick gameplay but it kinda feels that’s mostly the (Totally not overpowered) Magnum to thank or blame for.
We don’t(?) really know much about Infinite’s planned gameplay right now, whether it’ll be a full callback to Classic days and remove ALL of the new shiny gimmicks like some are seemingly hoping because of the new-old art style going on, or if it’ll take and pick based on what worked and what didn’t. Spartan Charge is almost universally hated, so I can see it being axed while Stabilizers and Thrusters remain. I don’t know about the ADS thing; the unique scopes are likely staying, but the idea of all weapons benefiting from smart-link/scoping… Seems to have been a very mixed bag. I won’t lose any sleep if it goes myself, as long as the cool scope visuals stay - I love the Classic BR don’t get me wrong, but it feels so odd looking through it in Halo 5 compared to Longshot, Sentinel, and COG.
As for the armor… Well there’s some gems like Argus and Achilles, but then you got oddballs like Tracer. No offense to anyone who likes Tracer mind you! I personally adore the Technician armor (Due to the unique thrusters) and the Wetwork helmet. Venator and Locus are pretty snappy too. Anyway, no idea what the armors will be like either; how much they’ll keep and what they’ll remove. I’ll be very sad if Wetwork and Locus aren’t present
