Halo 5 full customization

I think they should bring back the full customization for your Spartan from head to toe instead of just head and armor

I think that was cool in reach but it would just dilute the req system, but yeah that kind of thing is cool

if enough people want it they will bring it back

I quite like the change. Armor sets now look like cohesive suits rather than bolted-on pieces. Also, it would be nigh-on impossible to get an entire armor set if you had to get the shoulders, chestplate, helmet, and legs from REQ packs.

Well said…I personally disliked the cut-and-paste look of those armor combos. Plus, there are already 297 different variations (rough estimate, lol) of each helmet, armor, etc, and adding individual pieces would just be ludicrous.

A lot of people do the problem is we don’t know if they are working on it and it would take a pretty big chunk of time which won’t sit well with a lot of people

For those of you complaining about it diluting the req system there is nothing saying it all has to be separate. The armor could be earned as a set instead of chest, shoulders, gauntlets, and thighs individually.

Thats never going to come back along with other things. Seriously, full armor customization is better for the req system if they want to dilute the req pool more for the next game. Randomly obtain 5 parts to complete a set (Helmet, left shoulder, right shoudler, torso, and legs) vs 3 different skins.

I just rock the mark V gen1 regardless

More reqs…

I really doubt they’re going to redesign the system for Halo 5.

They’d have to break up the armors into each separate piece, and I bet they are one model at this time.
UV map them, or salvage the UV maps from the split up.
Retexture them, or salvage them like the UV maps.

They’d need to recode how the customization work by adding more pieces to the selections, and add them to the color system as well as preview system.
They’d have to rework the armature / skeleton to have some sort of sockets onto where the new separate pieces are connected.
All this would have to be bug tested, each armor piece checked if it’s in the proper place and follows the animations properly.

That’s a lot of work, and considering there already are a huge amount of armors to go through, and more coming, I do not see it happening.

I can get behind this idea.

I think it’s too late to implement it into Halo5. Fingers crossed for Halo6, though!

What I’m saying is that you don’t need to unlock the shoulder torso legs etc…everything is unlocked but customize it from other armors that you unlocked
