As H4 nears completion, and 343 being who they are, it is pretty obvious that brainstorming and plans for H5 is going on in the background.
(Btw. Microsoft just registered domain names for Halo 7, 8 , and 9.)
Now, as 343 claim to take the community so seriously, and that they strive to follow the fans wishes/feedback, it becomes essential to have some kind of venue where the fans can express their opinions and discuss ideas.
A Halo 5 forum or “future games forum” should be on the horizon, or would you have it wait until the 1st announcement trailer, when all the major decisions have been made?
I doubt we’ll ever see a game’s forum before a game’s announcement, but I would like to see a general feedback/wishes thread for the franchise as a whole, which includes future games. I believe there already is one, well used to be…
I really don’t think that’s the focus at all right now. Once the game launches, this section will probably be even busier. I don’t see a H5 section happening for a while yet.
It won’t happen until an official reveal, and not just a “yeah we’ve started working on Halo 5” but a full blown reveal, trailer and all. Until then, people will write their ideas in the Halo 4 forum, just like they wrote in the Reach forums prior to Halo 4’s announcement.
343i takes the wishes/demands and opinions of us fans with a grain of salt - we need to remember that THEY are the developers, not us. Our feedback is important, but they don’t take really take what we want and put it into the game during development. They look at the past game (in this case it will be Halo 4) THEN see what people liked and didn’t like, how the sandbox worked, etc. and revise from there They have enough officials and critics breathing down their necks as it is when they making Halo.
I’m just saying, We know there will be a Halo 5. Today we have a forum for i.e. reach, which is for reach- related topics. And we have a forum for Halo 4, which is for halo 4 related topics. Seeing as H4 is about to come out, it will eventually be in the past, and people will start talking about H5 instead. On top of this, 343 is busier than Bungie ever where. they have been working on H4 for a LONG time, even overlapping other productions.

Agreed. We don’t need an H5 forum yet, I mean, we don’t even have Halo 4 yet.
I doubt Snickerdoodle wants to add the H5 forums to her list of monitoring anyways

They should make a Halo Wars 2 forum. They have said at least once that there’s a possibility they may one day consider taking the chance to maybe make a sequel to Halo Wars. That’s grounds for a forum right?
