I’ve been trying to play Halo 5: Forge on PC for the longest time since there’s no full fledged PC release but every time I try to boot it up it crashes and then tries to open the Halo app…Too bad 343 stopped supporting the Halo app last year. I read somewhere that the Halo app is needed to run the game. So my question, how in the year of our lord 2020 do I get this hunk of garbage running? When booted up, the Halo app just hangs out at the point before it would load everything in. The least 343 could have done before ditching it was make sure the games THAT YOU CAN STILL DOWNLOAD work properly.

Exactly what the last commenter said; uninstall the Halo app through the store. Once that’s gone you should be able to boot up Halo 5: Forge, halo wars 1 & 2, and spartan strike again.
Annoyed the hell out of me too.
