Halo 2A forge was excellent and it is clear that 343 have listened to the community. so have started this topic to let 343i know what they need to implement into Halo 5 Forge they can listen to us again. listed below are a list of changes that i will update as it think of more. feel free to let 343i know what you want by posting your idea below.
- Bigger weapon and vehicle arsenal (forerunner, brute, covenant, human)- Undo button- ability to change team- put several pieces together to create one object that you can place on other maps- more scripting pieces (different size doors, ability to spawn objects from switches)- more buildings (bunker box, tower tall etc)- more scenery blocks- more natural blocks- more forge canvases (eg. sand and snow and grass and night and fire and forest and swamp and rock and urban etc).- ability to change block colour/ color, not just part of the block (not like halo 4 where you could only change a single line- ability to select multiple objects and move them all at once without separating them.- time and weather adjustments or more special effect balls like nova, juicy, pen and ink except night, day, twilight, rain, thunder, lightning, fog, etc.- custom blocks: change size- new block: stairs without lips on the side- lots of other new blocks- new block: road- signs: customisable like minecraft- change sea level/ remove sea- ability to change sea from kill zone to safe zone ( so we can have a flood that can provide cover or kill stragglers. - forge dlc- matchmaking playlist where you play random people’s forge maps- play as different characters, unlockable: chief (default), cortana, arbiter, agent locke, flood, grunt, brute, elite, senitel monitor of other intalations (with different colour eyes)- underwater forge- firefight mode (create a custom firefight map)- set weapon and vehicle skins- ability to spawn different halo music in different areas (fornuner structure = halo 4 music, outside = halo 1 music, etc.)- test mode: start new custom game from forge pause menu without having to back out to menu.- increase scale: there are huge maps but the blocks make it hard to make big BTB maps.- big vehicles: pelican, scarab, phantom, halo 1 dropship maby even a frigate.- custom objectives: destroy the generator, defend the pelican, etc.- every gun and vehicle ever in halo including phantom and hornett and elephant- enemy structures- increased player count for bigger custom BTB- moving blocks- warthog transport vehicle- AI marine, promethian, flood etc to guard/ attack objective. (halo custom edition had it in 2001 engine)- massive battles with 64 player maps and hundreds of marines, Prometheans, etc.- bring back all forge maps (forge world, forge island and other halo 4 maps)- guardian turrets- burnt out cars- trucksI will edit this post to include more ideas as i see them

Smooth framerate (even on split screen!). Without it, all is useless.
I don’t think half of what you mentioned is possible because of frame rate, although would be nice.
I can assure that a higher player count definitely wouldn’t be possible without intensive lagg problems. Anything that allows more players wouldn’t be possible. 16 is pretty much the maximum. Other games are only able to get a higher player count because they use dedicated servers which cost a lot of money, and no company in their right mind would supply servers for everyone’s Custom Games.
If I had to add anything to that list:
- Item Size/Enlarge Feature - 10% 25% 50% 75% 90% 100% all the way to 300%- The ability to add more lights. Each Forge has only had the option for maybe all of 4 lights.- Destructible scenery. This is a major one. Barricades that can be broken, Explosives, Crates, etc.- Gravity fields
My favorite from your list is the AI system. Able to generate AI who will defend/attack a point.
If I had to add to the list
- Bigger limit- Drivable dropships- More interactive features (gate,switch,etc…)- Test mode- redone forge world

So I think 16v16 should be the max in Halo forever, so in Forge I want larger vehicles and AI. I also want a larger selection of Forge palettes and maps.

I am beginning to see that the large 64 player count is unreasonable but 32 seems fair. If not i still think we need more than 16

If it hasn’t been said: Ability to “cut” pieces. When you put a couple pieces together and a small corner sticks out where you don’t want it, be able to cut that little part off.
What about a weapon editor and vehicle in forge? (WILL NOT BE IN MATCHMAKING only in Customs/forge.)
Weapons: You can basically change the amount of ammo, damage, weapon color, ammo color, and the firing type: Semi Automatic, Automatic, etc.
Vehicles: You can change the color, forge them (mixing this turret eith this vehicle), change the damage, edit the turrets and set them to example: Fuel rods, needlers, etc, and maybe phasing them or creating your own out of vehicle parts such as banshee wings on a ghost.
Remember: This is only for Customs and forge and is mainly for having fun even if it is unbalanced and for machinimas.

If I could choose one of those things, it would be to put AI on the map. Would be so awesome to create your own levels and stuff.
Hopefully they can improve the forge engine since found the Halo 2 forge to be broken. Frequent crashes on large scale map creations. I was hoping they add everything from all past Halo games as a standard thing then increase the budget further since felt like past forge budgets weren’t enough. I’m still hoping on a scarab spawn so players could play 64 btb king of the hill over it.
Always wanted the effects you can use to not cover the entire map, for example if you are outdoors you get the gloomy haunted feel but indoors it is bright and normal. Had a great idea for mcc if this was available now.
Also definitely include ai, with commands such as,
guard,
patrol,
attack,
defend,
etc…
so, your additional ideas:
