I was wondering, if I use a steam controller instead of an xbox controller, would that get rid of aim assist/bullet magnetism?
I don’t like aim assist when playing on the PC, it just doesn’t feel right. I would love 343i to add a PC-only feature to turn this off when using a controller, but I don’t think it will happen considering this has been asked before.
I’m actually trying out Forge with the steam controller using GloSC to emulate a 360 controller, but I can’t figure out how to setup the right trackpad to aim the way I want. I personally need to figure this out before I even start worrying about aim assist. I am a noob with the steam controller. I haven’t done any PC FPSing since the original Unreal Tournament. I have been a console FPS person for a long time so maybe I’m just being tripped up there. If you get it the steam controller working well let us know what settings you are using.
