It seems like group turrets (of any kind) to something (anything) can (or probably will) completely crash your forge game and have you restart the game. Especially if you group it to a moving object like a scout hog. Here is a little tip if you don’t want your game to crash almost instantly. DON’T GROUP TURRETS WITH ANYTING! that is the only “useful” help i can give soo far. For now at least…
You may also find it hard to get rid of them if you have done this. I (I know this for a “fact”) that it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to get rid of them if you have a larger building grouped with turrets in/on it. Deleting the base can be a bit of a problem but the turrets…
I had the problem which that I couldn’t select or use the “delete all of these” to get rid of them. Well… they would go away for a moment, but the turrets would later respawn and almost every time crash my forge game.
What is the cause of this? I don’t know… But I’m almost 100% certain that the grouping of turrtes to a vehicle or large objects will cause a crash and leave you in the xbox menu. I found out for sure after me and some friends was testing some things on “WyvernZu”'s map: “Sandtrap” - (Look it up on twitch or something, its amazing). But me and this other guy grouped a (phased) normal machine gun turret on top of a (phased) scout hog. And then later blew it up by accident. This caused a crash. We reloaded the game and tried to get rid of it, but… deleting the grouped scout hog that had the turret on top, also caused a crash. (Yes, they saved AFTER I had the bright idea to group a turret to the scout hog) But after I welded two other objects with the thing and then ungrouping it, we somewhat fixed it, saving the map without further issues. Thank god…
I only knew how to fix it becasue of a map I’m working on had the problem before. But at the time I didn’t know 100% what caused my map to crash. But It seems that the grouping of turrets is a huge problem in halo 5 forge, If you don’t do what I did, then your map will probably be fine… But if you already have grouped turrets on your map… Good luck! I guess… <_<’ But I think It’s ok if you don’t try to move them around or trying to ungroup them. This is the only major problem I’ve had with halo 5 forge soo far, probably becasue I haven’t gone in to “scripting” yet… xD
But If you have a good solution to this problem feel free to leave a comment. Yours sincerely- EnthusedMetal
