I’ve got a gaming laptop and for some reason H5:F auto runs on my integrated graphics card. No other game i currently play has this issue (I’ve checked on task manager) and NVIDIA Control Panel is set to use the dedicated card by default. Has anyone else faced this issue/found some way to solve it ?
I don’t have this issue but maybe try to disable the onboard GPU via UEFI.
would help if you said which make of laptop, cpu type and dgpu model you have.
you can rarely disable the igpu on laptops as a lot of the time if it’s got optimus, the igpu is connected to the display and the dgpu is secondary. meaning you can disable the dgpu but not the igpu as then you would get no picture at all.
nvidia drivers can be a bit iffy on optimus enabled laptops, i’ve run into the same issue where a game keeps selecting the igpu and not the dgpu. sometimes you have to mod the drivers as gpu drivers for laptops can be a pain in the butt to install and get working if the exact dgpu is not in the inf. (from experience using clevo laptops)
might of changed in recent times, i haven’t had a laptop for a while now as i sold mine. (heat and fan noise was annoying)
Its a Dell Inspiron 7577
Processor : Core i7 7th Gen
GPU (D) : GTX 1050Ti
GPU(I) : Some Intel HD Graphics Processor
Halo 5 is the only game suffering from this issue. All other games run on the dedicated GPU. I’ve tried using Nvidia Control Panel to only use the D GPU for all processes but to no avail
