This is not to spread hate on 343i. This is merely an informal post, posted by me from my perspective an viewpoint.
This does not in anyway directly represent the viewpoints of 343i, or any company/affiliate discussed within.
ππππππππππ:
I have played the Halo games & grown up with Halo as a franchise ever since acquiring Halo CE for the original Xbox back in the day.
I have bought & played every single halo game I can get my hands on, I am well versed as to the βsplitsβ within the halo community.
Any post I write, update, post or create has context, so if youβre not a fan of reading you might as well leave now.
Halo 5 & 343βs propaganda:
Now now, you might be saying, 343i would never use propaganda to promote their own game?! Oh yes, oh yes they would. In fact, a lot of game developers or game publishers have been caught doing it as well as lying right to your face, βNo Manβs Skyβ being the most recent and infamous example.
How does Halo 5 exhibit any signs of propaganda within it?
Weβve all seen the Halo 5 game trailers, the promotion and the fantastic Hunt the Truth series. If you combine all of that, what you seem to eventually smell is the stench of broken promises. Hunt the Truth was never continued, splitscreen was removed, 343i did not stay loyal to long time fans of the series what with HUGE lore changes that donβt make any sense and invalidate the new lore, in of itself.
Why would 343i push any kind of propaganda for a beloved franchise?
Now the answer to that lies both with 343i and Bungie. Bungie made the mistake of money-grabbing without thinking about their old franchise, and thus they went onto develop Destiny 1 & 2 with Activision.
343i however, had a completely different standpoint as to what should happen with Halo as well as different development personality.
Bungie when they were in charge of the Halo franchise, were very perfectionist in what they did & were always critical of their own work.
343i on the other hand, think of their games to be the best and had that attitude while developing them. They also changed a lot of stuff fundamental to halo in order to attract battlefield and COD players for all of that $$$$$$$$$/£££££££££.

Proβs:
-
Halo is finally on the PC!!! - Good graphics support - Optimised for most mid to low end PCβs - Server browser - In built support for 4K - User friendly UI
Conβs: -
Nearly a 50GB download - Windows Store needs more support - Lack of ranking system - Community content creation is slow/dead - Player base is minimal
-
No active promotion OR eventsI think 343i has mainly released this as a test more than anything, but the whole process of creating Halo 4 & Halo 5 with the community backlash has taught them a thing or two. Halo 5 Forge on PC, is fantastic for the free product it is HOWEVER Halo 5 is not a halo game and shouldnβt have that title slapped on it.
