Earlier today I was working on a map I am making called Contour. I made it a few weeks or so ago but never placed the spawns. Last night I tried to play it and realised the spawns hadn’t been placed so today I decided to finish it by placing the spawns. When I loaded the map I realised the light budget was too high and that shadows were glitching making the map look worse. I spent 3 hours and 20 minutes fixing this, a huge delay caused by me talking to people on my phone while doing this. While editing the map I tried to quicksave but the message that confirms it has saved never appeared so I saved the slower way by entering the menu and saving there. The message still never showed. I decided to continue thinking maybe there was some problem and that I could save later. Then when I had finished everything: spawns, weapons lighting etc. I tried to save again, didn’t work. So I decided to try saving the map as something new. Still didn’t work. I then thought maybe the message just isn’t appearing and left forge. I had to go anyways so I didn’t have time to wait for the problem to fix itself, if it ever would have. After 3 hours and 20 mins of work, I checked my file browser only to find the map hadn’t saved. This should not be an issue!!!
Dude why did you keep going when you knew there was a problem? I’ve had the same problem and reloading the game is all I have found that corrects it.
