Halo 5 Forge For Windows 10. Whats The Point?

Well all I know that it is a pain in the -Yoink- to get people to join a server cuz there is no server browser. Now we can host a server but u can kick or ban people what a joke. I see no reason to host a game when its a pain in the -Yoink- to setup one. It’s like buying a car without any wheels. You can work on it all you want but you can drive the car around town without any wheels. So whats the point?

The point of Halo 5: Forge is to use Halo 5’s Forge on a PC. You can host a server so you can test custom game modes and Forge maps. 343 has confirmed that a server browser will be added eventually.

Frig off, it’s free.

I mean if you want to just pull Halo Forge off PC, why didn’t you just say so?

The main idea behind bringing Forge to Windows 10 is provide an experience for forgers who are more accustomed to working PC’s than consoles. Controlling and building with a keyboard and mouse can be a lot easier for some people. It also brings Halo back to PC which is what a lot of people have been missing. The added benefit is that custom games are also available, but that’s not the main driving force behind it.

A server browser has be confirmed to be working on right now (for box Xbox One and PC), don’t imagine it will be too much longer before we see it drop

And to add to this point, as someone who does go back and forth between PC and Xbox, the PC version feels superior for forge even with a controller. The map specifications are more clearly laid out, you can customize the objects/map settings by hiding/showing groups and sub groups to make going through the menus easier, the maps load faster and playing at a full 1080p is easily a win-win.

The only downside is with a controller, the keyboard is still necessary for naming maps/gametypes.

I honestly had high hopes for using forge on the pc since I find the new forge on xb1 to be frustrating to use but I personally found the pc one to not be much better. I guess if I really wanted I could watch tutorials they have avaliable but honestly why did they have to make it so complicated? The older game’s forge was just simple and easy to use.
