HALO 5 FORGE DLC/GENERAL: NEW MOMBASA (IDEA) - PART 1
H5 needs more City themed pieces. Facad buildings and other things. Also I want them to make an update for pieces where you can place objects and make them non touchable (ghost pieces) so that way they don’t take and physics.
A canvas that has actual lighting with a city skybox would be amazing too, I would definitely love this.
Example of pieces for the New Mombasa DLC (or Urban DLC):
Starting off with 2 maps for arena slayer and one BTB map. Then we would have one or 2 canvases with a city skybox and a sky box we can switch from Day, Night, or Overcast (maybe sunset?). After that come the pieces:
More vehicles like:
>Semi Truck
>Semi Truck trailer
>> Multiple Varients
>Construction Vehicles
>>Big Tonka like trucks and such
>A few more cars than just Prius
>Cars that are run down or broken
>Cars that are just dirty
>Prebuilt police cars (For budget) w/ Lights

Now for more Aesthetic and Props. These things help sell the map.

Sounds & Effects are very important to forge in the new state. It goes with aesthetics but more so needs a category of its own:

>More “Riot” and “War” sounds
>Police siren sounds
>Superintendent sounds
>Superintendent Decals/Light effects (projections for monitors, all his faces.), etc.
Decals! I know I have some decals above but I want this list be be here too because there are so much more possible that SHOULD be in the game already!
>Cracks (small, medium, large, and different shapes.)
>Grime, stains, weathering
>Graffiti
>Posters (warn and not warn)
>Street decals
>Texture Decals (brick, cobble, etc.)
>And so much more.
Terrain would also include the following
>Road pieces
>> This would be like the road pieces you put together as a kid. They would be modular so you would have a straight away, T sections, Round abouts (that would range in size wildly, so you could have a large round about that could center a tree* (*Getting there) or a statue of sorts.

More than likely the buildings would be under this category.
Armor:
Armor would include Nightfall Variants, Recon variants, Hell Jumper alt variants, etc. Police of New Mombasa style armor would be great as well. Visor colors based on ODST visor would be awesome and maybe even the ability to change your HUD to be like the H3 ODST HUD (this is possible with mods on PC, as well as in the Halo Online game (somewhat) and would be cool but I doubt they would even do it).
Weapons (updated):
Weapons are very important to this update and would have to be done right. We already have silenced SMGs in the game but only in Warzone. What we need are specifically the Halo 3 ODST silenced SMGs as variants. There would be the Halo 3 SMG, but then there would be the Silenced with the Red Sight/Scope like in H2 Anniversary. It would function a lot like the H2A version and also have the silencer. Then there would be the M6C/SOCOM (M6S or Automag), which is the pistol. Quiet as a whisper, and efficient. This would tie everything together. Variants would be available in Warzone, but I am focused on what we could forge in/give as gametype defaults.

This could also open some doors for returning weapons that the brutes wielded since we know we are getting the hammer back.

>Brute Shot (Blade on back actually deals more damage as it is a legendary weapon)
Skins:
>The Rookie (This skin would just be a very VERY black weapon skin with a grey stripe on the top or side)
>We Are ODST (The skin would have an ODST emblem carved into the side of the gun)
>And Another One (Tally marks on the side of the gun, again carved in)
>With Brute Strength (Would be a design that is either Blue or a maroon color and has either the Brute Emblem on it, or the chieftain head dress on it. Would have the hex pattern on it like most Covenant weapons)
>And These are not The Hammer… (would be navy blue with a yellow circle and a hammer in it. Reference to Captain Hammer.)
>Without Juliet… (Would be a black or dark grey skin with a blue (almost cobalt?) Stripe(s) and a couple light grey stripes)
>BUCKLE UP (Light grey cammo with ODST emblem on one side and the Osiris on the other.)

The main thing would be the Silenced SMG and M7S for multiplayer/Forge since those make part of the meat and potatoes. Obviously we are asking for a lot here. So maybe there could be a part 1 and part 2 for this DLC. “New Mombasa part 1 - Legends of the Brutes” and “New Mombasa part 2 - Legends of the ODSTs” one would be focus on the Brutes and their weaponry, maybe include Sand based canvas (sandbox again, anyone?), have a Sandtrap re-imagining for H5 movement (since we have a 1 to 1 forged version), etc. The ODST one would very heavily focus on the ODSTs and their efforts on that fateful day. Hell, maybe even Buck could do an intro story of it. Imagine it opens, and he is talking to Locke.
While Nathan (as Buck) monologues, there would be high detail cut scenes of the ODST’s in the background dropping, running, and other things to show off the potential.
Bonus:
Armor Lock*
>>*Not Armor lock the armor ability, Armor Lock (or Armor Restraint) the one shown in the campaign where they threw the “Active camo” looking device. This device could be thrown like a grenades, OR you could set a Power Up trap. Like the trap box in Mario Kart. If you equip it, you would freeze. This could open up minigames like Freeze Tag. The deceptive ones would look like normal ones but with a slight flicker in the hologram. Once they pick it up, they would be frozen in place. Either there would be a timer to tell them how long it will last, or it would require a teammate to come to that player and disable the Armor Restraint. Whether or not you’d be invincible is unclear, however, you won’t be able to move, and you won’t be able to shoot. You are frozen.
This started as a forge DLC idea and turned into more of a full deal. I have reached CC for this original portion of the thread so extra ideas will be in part 2 below. I know there is a lot here, but 343, if you are listening, this is something fans like and would want. ODST(s) deserve more recognition.

Honestly I don’t think it would be too much but personally it seems like it would be pretty big. Even if it was a facade piece. Something for show. And if not, more thank fun would be a broken one. And/or the legs of one and the head of one.
