Halo 5: Forge will have a custom game browser on PC and on XBOX ONE, according Halo franchise development director Frank O’Connor, who dropped a bombshell yesterday when he revealed that this information in a NeoGAF thread, in which O’Connor remarked on his improving mouse/keyboard skills and then added, “Once the custom game browser is available I think the community might get crazy legit.” In a follow-up, he added, “Won’t be there at launch. But it’s comin’.”

“Yes, a join-in-progress custom games browser is currently in development for Halo 5: Forge (Win10) and Halo 5: Guardians (Xbox One) and is planned for release in a future content update,” the rep said.

It is a very exiting news, as I was dreaming about a Halo game with custom game browser since Halo 2 and I think thats why I loved to play Far Cry 2 so much because it just fun to play everyday on new maps.
In my opinion 343i could redeem themself and give an extremely big blow to the Halo community!
Well done for them if they will manage this!

If this turns out right Halo 5: Forge might be a big hit with PC gamers, and with a Custom Games browser it might even be the definitive version of Halo 5.

I apologise for this I did not see that there is another thread.
I can’t delete my topic so I left this for the admin here.

In the meantime we can also discuss things here because the other topic is not that popular.

I have a slight feeling that Halo 5 after the update will be a crossplay game. There are signs for this and it could come out really well!

the signs:
-maps forged on the PC will be playeble on Xbox One.
-the controller is quite accurate and lot of PC player using Xbox One controllers, I don’t thing that players with keyboard and mouse will be that much better.
-it would boost the community of the game, also Microsoft would use this as a marketing strategy! Like for instance they can say things like last month 2 million custom games took place.
