I don’t know of often this is talked about, but I’m not a bit fan on Forge’s controls. I get why they are how they are, I’ve heard it’s easier for pro Forge players, but as a casual forge player, I miss the old controls. I’ve always stayed away from Halo 5’s forge because of how confusing the controls are. I’ve been so used to the Forge controls since 3 and 5 is just such a big change. And I can’t seem to get used to them no matter how much i play. I kinda just wish they had a “classic” option for controls for Forge noobs like me 
There are many, many forge turtorials out there. It wouldn’t hurt to check them out, once you get the hand of the controls you never want to go back.
More functions, require more buttons.
Read the commands on the screen and think them out while pressing them.
The movement button changes bothered me at first, up and down and lack of speed boost button.
Forge more you will get used to it.
