There’s been a handful of times I’ve been asked for a copy of maps I’ve made. But what holds me back is the following.
-
Making the map searchable allows for others to edit or save the map when I only wanted to allow access to bookmarking it.
(Bookmarking only allows you to play the map nothing more.)
-
Simply saving the map will change the original map author to the downloaders.
-
Saving the map doesn’t keep screenshots attached (Gotta keep it looking good)
While these reasons are kind of silly and petty I still stand by them. I don’t even know why I care myself. If I had to guess it would the time some of them took. Most recent being a bit over three days. As well as some running off and claiming they made it which has happened two of the three times I’ve gave a map to friends. Again super petty
Private bookmarking or map folders I’ve got a lot of maps for a few different game modes or stuff I’m working on. It would be nice to have the ability to organize our maps rather than sifting through multiple pages.
Sorry if this is in the wrong section but this doesn’t really fit into the support section Forge.

This. I have a handful of maps that I will never publish. If they wanna play I have to be there, and hosting, because I’ve left the file visibility off. There is too much theft going on, and I don’t mean Forgers who properly credit map creators after their work is modified (How else do we expect new Forgers to learn cool new things, right?). The next game absolutely needs better file options so Forge creations are protected from theft. The Content Browser launching and breaking the bookmark system didn’t help at all, because people had to save maps/gametypes in order to play them. That damage has still not been undone.

Glad someone feels the same I was beginning to think it was just me being weird. Lol
Heres hoping for a bookmark overhaul.
