You beat me to it OP!
But yes! the one think I’ve been waiting on knowing about. this better not be reduced to a preview of the next sprint but to a full blown vid doc
*sry for anything misspelled is 2 hyped
I’m not even a huge fan of forge and I’m hyped for it.
Maybe my inner creativity will finally reveal itself
343 out did themselves this time. I would have been happy with more terrain options and colored objects, but all this?! Totally unexpected and I can’t wait for it!
Read the dev blog
They better have a time of day setting as well as additional weather effects.
im excited, they didnt screw up, far from it, but im worried, forge wont be available until december. halo 5 looks great so far, but the question is, will there be enough content to keep us busy with halo and keep everyone caring, because alot of other high anticipation games will release before halo 5 custom games hits its stride in december, i know i will definetly come back for forge, but how many others are of like mind?
You guys did good 343i, but im sure i speak for everyone in the community that we are all excited, and would rather wait a bit over a month for forge and know about all these great features, than to hit release day with our expectations met with dissapointment.
The Hype Train is here!! xD
and yet still no UNSC flying vehicles

I know right? The whole game is ruined.

I hope your being sarcastic.
Lol I’m wondering what kinds of vehicle objects they added if at all
I just read the blog and these things just stood out to me
- > - Scripting Redux – Almost every object in the new Forge can be scripted to move around, change colors, send event messages to other objects, spawn itself, and all kinds of other fun things. Objects can have up to four scripts that with a condition that will trigger an action when the event conditions are met. We even include a “logic switch” condition type that can wait for multiple conditions to be met before the action is triggered. It’s all super powerful and we can’t wait to see the crazy ways it gets used by the community. - Higher Object Count – We’ve increased the number of objects that can be placed in a Forge map to 1024. Higher object count allows for bigger maps with more detail than possible before. - Soft Budgets – Some budgets are “soft” meaning they can be exceeded but will cause visual artifacts/anomalies. This lets you keep building around these budgets to find the fun, then come back later to fine tune things and make the map look prettier. - Grouping – Groups can be created dynamically with a single button press. Select more objects and press the button again to add to the group or press the button again to split the group up. It’s really that simple. - Welding – Grouped objects can optionally be welded to their “parent” object. This allows them to all physically move around together; make a soccer ball with traffic cone spikes that rolls around, or attach a weapon pad to a larger animating object. Our producer Mike loves to remind Ben that this feature is so important to make some of our Arena map designs work that it is LITERALLY the reason he was brought aboard. Good thing it happened because Forge is better because of the addition of both!
This implies that i can have a statue of MC over a beaver creek remake and have him hulk smash the field after say someone gets 10 kills or after 5 min.
I’ve never done much forge because all the pieces took forever to place properly and evenly. I think with all these new tools that it will make it a lot easier for us beginner map makes and I think we will see some epic maps from those people who are long time forgers. I don’t even care we have to wait longer for it. the wait will be worth it.
I’m super excited for this! It seems like 343 is really putting a lot of work in to forge

Or a dreaded Grid scripted to move about and wreak absolute havok.
374 more objects than Halo 2 anniversary. Combine that with the ice forge map and BAM! Avalanche remade.
The reveal itself was pretty weak though. I hope there is something more significant to see this week in regards to forge.

> This is only some of the stuff we’ll be seeing this week so stay tuned! Still hyped!
The main thing I’m pumped for is how the Breakout pieces match the original ones. It will make Breakout maps so much easier to make
If we can apply scripts to groups, I wonder if clans can finally make those big ship battles we’ve always wanted.
Can we make vacuum-Ness on space maps? Vacuum-Ness makes space maps actually seem like space.
