Thought I’d better mention these in one topic as I’m only allowed two posts a day (what is this, Nintendo around here?)…
Firstly it’s good to have firefight back. Again it’s 343’s spin on an old Halo classic and again I think it’s good without managing to reach the heights of the original mode on which it is based. There is more of an objective story mode drive to it this time a la Spartan Ops rather than just having to face off wave after wave of enemies. It’s a lot shorter, even if you complete all 5 waves you’re looking at a 10-15 minute game whereas Firefight games in Reach and ODST could last for hours…
For me it very much sums up Halo under 343. They’ve changed things that didn’t need to be changed and or tried to better it but fallen short, the end result being a game that’s good but somewhat underwhelming for Halo fans.
Final point I’d like to mention is Grifball and specifically the way betrayals work. This game really sucks how you can waste REQ bonus cards by getting kicked out of a game for repeatedly picking up accidental betrayals. I got booted from three Grifball games in a row yesterday and banned from arena games for an hour. Seriously, 8 players all charging like mad at the ball swinging hammers… there is bound to be collateral damage. Half the time you don’t even see the team mate you have apparently just splattered because there was nothing on the radar to indicate that he was anywhere near you. This mode really needs a relaxation on the regular betrayal rules or just give the attackers the benefit of the doubt when the hammers start swinging.
WZFF is fine.
GB betrayal rules need to be removed in that mode.
This is my problem with Halo 5 in general, it not a bad game but it just feels like it doesn’t reach Halo standards, I find that it feels like someone wanted to reimagine the wheel and ended up with an oval, sure it will function but a wheel would have been a more enjoyable ride

That is a perfect analogy.

I don’t remember many matchmade Reach Firefight matches going longer the 15 minutes.
I like WZFF. It’s good. except just buff the enemies and make more rounds.

I’d say add more enemies rather than buff them.
LEARN HOW TO PLAY THE GAME

We solved the ban problem in griff ball. I play with the same 3 guys and we all agree that if the ball is at our court it’s hammer time for everyone including anyone of us standing in the way. As long as they do not score. Been play awhile now and we get it done. Find 3 players you know won’t just f-around and try it.
yes I agree 100 with u about grif betraying it kills ur teams chance of winning when it happens to me I never boot because we will never win 3 on 4
