Halo Firefight mode if it returns should have the option for a firendly AI partner…
Firefight started in Halo 3: ODST which had you verse the Covenant Empire in a series of waves, rounds and sets. You had the option to play with five players as ODST.
Firefight had then advanced somewhat in Halo: Reach, you were now a Spartan-III, and firefight had become more of an mini-arcade version of its predecessor… it also had added friendly AI assistance, in the form of ODST.
The thing missing from Halo: Reach Firefight was perhaps the option to choose who the friendly AI was… in my opinion it should of had some presets like Jorge-052, or Jun-A266… with each having a different combat style and thus assisting in your weak points.
I think Halo 5 should have this as an option, especially for single player… the AI count can be increased or decreased from 0 - 4 players… depending on how much player spots are filled. So essentially you always have a squad of 5. Possible characters could be:
- Edward ‘Buck’ Buck, ODST
- Micheal ‘Mickey’ Crespo, ODST
- Kojo ‘Romeo’ Agu, ODST
- Veronica ‘Dare’ Dare, ODST
- Taylor ‘Dutch’ Miles, ODST
- James ‘Rookie’ D., ODST
- John-117, Spartan-II
- Linda-058, Spartan-II
- Fred-104, Spartan-II
- Kelly-087, Spartan-II
- Jorge-052, Spartan-II
- Emile-A239, Spartan-III
- Carter-A259, Spartan-III
- Jun-A266, Spartan-III
- Catherine-B320, Spartan-III
- Spartan-B312, Spartan-III
- Anthony Madsen, Spartan-IV
- Paul DeMarco, Spartan-IV
- Carlo Hoya, Spartan-IV
- Tedra Grant, Spartan-IV
- Gabriel Thorne, Spartan-IV
Either that, or perhaps, at least, mix up the roles, allow a player to choose either a Spartan-II, Spartan-III, Spartan-IV, ODST and Marines/Spartan-I… Each could have certain benefits and slightly different attributes… or if it is just one class of Human soldier… then at least make 5 different roles player must fill… like Noble Team or the unnamed ODST sqaud.
