Halo 5 Firefight is sooo UNBALANCED! WHY?!

First Round everyone’s doing good against the covenant, second round with Prometheans and everyone dies over and over. There’s no excuse, this game is really disappointing. What the heck were you guy’s thinking?! And what the freaking heck is wrong with the brightness? It’s so bad! I have the brightness set to 1 and it still hurts my eyes.

I’ve been playing Halo since Combat Evolved all the way through the fourth Halo and got Halo 5 late only to be disappointed. My first firefight I got a banshee and spawned where the game was controlling it until it’s outside of the base only to get destroyed by the overpowered AI, it’s just pathetic as there was nothing I could do as the game was still in control of my banshee? What is wrong with you people?! I want to slap someone in the back of the head! What were you thinking!?

It’s just bad AI design in general. Awful damage resistance and even worse damage output. Not to mention those robotic ballerinas, aka Soldiers

It’s because they kept the AI difficulty for 24 player Warzone. We only have 8 players, so it’s unbalanced as hell.

The problem with FF is the power weapons aren’t worth -Yoink-. They don’t come with a lot of ammo so it takes an entire power weapon spawn to get a few kills, then you are stuck waiting for your REQ’s to fill back up.

TIP: Don’t use power weapons!!! If you stick to vehicles (depending on what map you are on, first round you may or may not want to start with a hog) you will see way better results. Why? Because A) you can escape enemies before they kill you. B) Unlimited ammo on vehicles that have ammo C) Splatter kills.

I find myself towards the top of every FF match I play, and it’s not because I’m good at halo… it’s because I stick to vehicles. If everyone in the fireteam did this you would win way more.

TBH WZFF is a vehicle / power weapon simulator. Either u spawn them or lose. The annoying this is the damage output the AI does. A single jackal can easily 3-5 shot you with its plasma pistol. Especially when it spams you.
Edit for OP : Nvr spawn banshees unless its an ultra otherwise you will have a tough time. But if u spawn it against a banshee raiders or grunt jockey then you’re just asking for trouble

Another tip is to find the places where you are hidden from the enemy. Just found the spot on urban and defend the garage spot. Just stand in the circular stairs and you literally don’t get shot.
Only bring in power weapons that make sense. Plasma caster, Spartan laser, rockets, PP, saw, those all of come in handy in the right situation.

The enemies have too much health, damage, accuracy, and range. In addition, there is the damn respawn timer, Grunt Goblins wreck multiple vehicles at once, Banshee bosses deal absurd damage, and enemies can track you with automatic fire for a good 70+ meters.

Phantoms deal ridiculous suppressive damage, Elites can insta melee a spartan, and bosses spawn in bases, limiting DPS from vehicles. AND intermission doesn’t tell you when the objective is going to pop up 500 meters away for you to defend, so it’s half dead when you get there! Soldiers teleport spam, and watchers can super heal Bosses to full!

If you pick up storm rifles and needlers from the first round it becomes easier for the next few rounds.

it’s hard to sell more req packs

Use vehicles - if you don’t, you lose in Firefight, it really just comes down to that. BR’s are your friend through REQ level 3 or 4, Ghosts (depending on what the objective is) can be ludicrously good against Covenant or Promethean foot soldiers… you can literally boost over an entire group of them when they spawn, and it feels glorious every time. And 90% of the time, the Tank (or Phaeton Helios if available) is your best friend to finish the last round.

Some good comments here. I can’t disagree with OP’s original criticism. Ultimately, WZFF is a vehicle game. I’ll even go so far to say that it’s primarily a ground based vehicle game. (If you pick the wrong airbourne vehicle with particular enemies you can get lit up pretty quickly.)

To me, this takes away some of the fun of this game type. You also should be able to play some nice power weapons, without putting you and your team at a disadvantage.

That said, it your team wants to win, spawn warthogs early and advance to ghosts, wraiths, scorpions as soon as possible.

Warzone Firefight seems like an afterthough for 343i.

It barely holds together with prometheans hitting you halfway across the map, hordes of gamebreaking bugs and glitches like bosses healing themselves miracously, bullet sponges, poor AI design, etc

OP, you’re asking why it’s unbalanced? I’m sure 343 knows they’ll make more money if they design it to be very req-demanding.

Yes, all of these are so true! It’s absolutely tragic how useless power weapons are in this mode. It’s my biggest complaint about WZFF.

Sadly, this is also true. And for some reason, I constantly get banshees in gold packs. It’s so annoying

Cause its
