Okay I’m going to start with saying that moving around in halo 5 has never felt more rewarding/bad -Yoink- in any halo.
Right of the bat yes sprint stretch the s**t out of our beloved maps. Played midship on halo 2 after a game on truth was like mind blown lol. I did like how compact midship was im not gonna lie. BUT traversing around Orion to a for a better line of site or to cut off/ambush a team is that thing of beauty. The best thing about it all is the no shield when sprinting! For example, my team and I were stuck in a fire fight top mid in truth. I sprint jump off go around to the ramp and the other team is so focus on my team they don’t check their radar and notice I dint sprint to run away. Why is that a good thing or even fair you ask? Because my shields are in the same condition they where when I was too mid. Sure I could sit crouched at the bottom till I get my shields back by them my window might be gone!
A whole layer has been added to halo, good or bad. If you embrace them the game is ridiculously fun and rewards for using playing with the new mechanics in mind. How many times did you out shoot someone but that got out a grenade just in time and boom from the grave? Now if you noticed it and time it right BOOM thrust no death.
Halo 5 without radar could be the most competitive halo if done right. Every accessible ledge is now a threat not just the one I can get my feet on.
Auto stabilizers I have my not set to auto, and have pulled off some crazy ish with it. Dodge a grenade and that snipe. At first it was beyond frustrating to remind myself I can zoom tap A do my thing and tap A again now it’s becoming second nature.
Ground and pound risky risky but when it lands and kills you feel like a savage!
Charge meh something isn’t right idk what it is. Risk is to high for a normal melee in my opinion.
Slide? I barely use if tbh sometimes forget it’s even there but I’m sure someone somewhere did something cool with it
Playing halo 5 like halo 5 instead of trying to play it like 2 or 3 and getting wrecked because I cant grab my BR Go solo and go OFF has changed my opinion on the beta and the game completely.
