When people criticize Halo 5 why do “fanboys” always resist even hearing the claims brought up by the other person? We all want what is best for halo so wouldn’t that be achieved faster if we at least listened to one another? I think this community has wonderful critics and the praises of Halo 5. I am just afraid we aren’t giving both sides mainly the minority (criticisms of H5) the ability to express their opinions without ridicule.
Agreed OP. We don’t moan and gripe for fun, we do it because we love halo. If those “fanboys” cared as much as us, they’d be calling 343 out on all their negative actions as well.

I agree as well. I think the critics of H5 and 343 have been justified in most instances.
My personal point of view is 343 has consistently put Halo fans/ their consumers in awful situations (i.e releasing a broken game or a game with too little content),
I find that many people pull the “lol ur just a fanboy” card on matters that are simply opinion vs opinion, but when there is actual proof shoved in their faces there are still people that are willfully ignorant. I agree that those people need to stop, but really, in most cases it is just opinion.

Do you mind elaborating a bit further may be an example you’ve seen just so I can understand?
I’ve been pretty lenient with 343 in the past few years. I even love the hell out of Halo 4 despite the constant hail of hate it got, even if only for the story, but Halo 5’s unlock system and story is grinding away at me.
Please at least be willing to release story dlc in the future, 343. I’d buy all the gold packs you want if I got that with the money I threw at you. (Also a system where we can buy or earn single cards would be awesome.)

Wait what?
The MCC was broken, but I’m not sure what you mean when it you’re saying “too little content”

I am referring to H5 launching with no forge mode and so little playlists
When people cannot intelligently discuss or debate something they just freak out.
Don’t worry you have people that understand your frustration.

The most common example that comes to mind is what people think of the campaign. I myself thought it could be a lot better, but I still enjoyed it. Others absolutely hate it, and some ignore all of the positive qualities of the campaign and call anyone who likes it a “fanboy”.

I see, you are willing to trade your frustration with unlockables for story dlc? Why do you think you’ve been lenient because you really enjoyed their games?

Yeah, I definitely think the forums have not been a place for civil debate, but I’m hoping this forum can be a step in the right direction.
Yup. So help you if you say anything that isn’t direct praise for Halo 5.
Because everything that is criticized is beyond their comprehension, so they blindly defend it even though the facts are staring them in the eye.

Why do you think they are “blind” to the “facts”?
I stopped listening to complaints because in my opinion, they are just dust in the wind. They mean nothing. Do your homework before you buy a game, and don’t play it if you don’t like it. It’s that simple. Getting riled up over nothing doesn’t do anyone any good.

Pretty much, yea. Halo 4 was emotionally engaging. Halo 5 had the potential, but we barely got to see the main man struggle with the current, difficult changes taking place in front of him.
Comparably, it was not something I would refer any of my friends to play. The Halo 4 felt like its own trilogy, having a incredibly dramatic and emotional ending, but Halo 5, as mentioned by a lot of people, just kinda felt like a prequel to Halo 6, and that is frustrating.

When someone says something is broken and there’s proof behind their claims, yet still refuse to believe it. That is what I call being blind.
