I’ve heard that the ending to halo 5 will be a big shock and surprise to fans. I just wanted to ask the community what you think may happen? Could there be a big death or a shocking scene? Maybe the flood (Probably not since they said the flood wouldn’t be in halo 5)? Cortana comes back?

Lol I don’t know in all honesty though I think it will end on some annoying -Yoink- cliffhanger like the original Halo 2 to leave you feeling annoyed but knowing you want more.

It wouldn’t surprise me, its that generic old tactic to keep buyers interested in your product. Lets just hope this time its different. Personally I’d like to see something major happen before the final cut scene, just so you have some time to process what has just happened before you get completely done over again.

I’m actually thinking the last mission will end on both Blue and Osiris dealing with something…most likely Forerunner and the end will probably be something that deals with the Mantle of Responsibility. We will probably deal with an intense fight scene as well as someone who will most likely get fatally injured but cheat death and come back in Halo 6. I hope this could be the reality.

Nah I don’t think Arbiter will die, but I believe someone on both Osiris and Blue Team will get hurt but no one will die…yet.

The point is that we will be shocked, so I doubt it’s something I’m able to guess with the information I have. What I can guess is that the overall plot will move forward a lot more than many people currently anticipate. This game will give us the major pieces of what Reclaimer Saga will be about, whereas Halo 4 was more like a necessary starting step.

-Blue Team goes missing, something to do with guardians and the domain.
We also know there’s a point in the game where hunter vs hunted turns into something else, so Osiris vs Blue Team definitely isn’t the main focus.

Great idea, would be cool to see many different things happening at once in Halo 5. This may be the reason I like Halo 2 so much because there are more than just one story evolving around the Master Chief.
343 has already said Halo 5’s story is going to be the darkest of Halo’s campaign yet. So think Reach-depressing x 5.

Looks like I’m going to be laying in a dark room after playing the campaign. In all seriousness, I hope no one I like dies (Chief, Arby, Locke), don’t really care about the rest.
Hopefully they don’t just kill off a beloved character at the end to try and make things more dramatic. If they do then the series will start to seem more formulaic than Game of Thrones.

Sounds like a good ending. I can’t live to see the Human race tear itself apart. This idea though kind of reminds me of Halo Reach in the Final Stand. I hope though there is a choice, or at least and ending that will set us on a path that we can follow.
