I was thinking of the role of Halo 3 ODST in the Halo universe. In conclusion I think that the intention is to show the Halo universe from a different point of view(normal human soldiers and their feelings) and it delivers it nicely in my opinion.
Now Halo 5 was revealed and I thought about bringing such a kind of game back. I had the idea to make a game where you play an Elite as the protagonist. In my opinion the setting should be Sanghelios and other planets after the end of the war between Covenant and the UNSC.The protagonist is part of a squad of Elites that tries to strike back at the Brutes and destroy their rebellion. This topic was also mentioned in the books so it could fit in the story.I think 343i had the chance to show Sanghelios a topic which we have not seen much in the games so far, so this would give them a lot of freedom to create this fascinating planet. I know the storyline does not sound that interesting and amazing like in the Halo Trilogy but remember Halo 3: ODST and a rather normal plot too because they were humans and not the master chief.It would also give them the chance to bring back charakters like the Shipmaster Rtas or the Arbiter and I think with a fanatic Brute Commander the story would be interesting. The game feeling would change too because of other weapons melee attacks and other vehicles.
