Halo 5 Elites and how to tell the difference?

Ya this is my first post so don’t expect anything major from me, but if you look at my service record a blind man could tell that Halo 5 is by FAR my worst halo game, with me regularly just scrapping positive compared to others like reach where I almost always was decently positive. This is why I like to play firefight to try and relax from the normal player BS that gets tossed around during standard war zone.
However, I have found that unlike the past halos where the elites are SUPRMELEY easy to identify via their rank and strength level, I can’t tell the difference at all between the halo 5 elites and find myself rushing a zealot when I think it’s just a minor.
So basically what I’m asking for is tips to tell the difference, as even playing the campaign a couple times I can barely tell.

Halo 5 probably has the worst way of identifying of elites since their armor is so bland but theirs a few quick tips I can think of. First is the colour, blue’s are the normal difficulty (minors) sometimes zealot, your orange to red tend to be your generals and field marshals. Otherwise you have to get in their face to see the armor to tell the difference. The easiest spot and kill are the rangers because they are the only ones to have jet packs and have that unique square dolphin nose looking helmet and only require a few shots to the head to take out.
