I don’t know about you guys but I think it’d be so cool if they added an Elephant in as a new vehicle REQ. I mean it can be done and it can easily work in the size of the Warzone maps. It’d be like a slow warthog with mini guns that players can use all over it with a lot of armor. I think adding new vehicles that were in other Halo games would be amazing. For example, brute chopper, covenant spectre, brute prowler, UNSC elephant, UNSC hornet maybe even something like the UNSC hawk from Halo Wars would be amazing. They just got rid of a ton of original vehicles and I feel that there just isn’t as much vehicles anymore. Just remakes of the same vehicle but stronger by calling it ONI Warthog or ONI Scorpion. Anyway let me know your opinions on this, I personally think it’d be amazing if they added new vehicles or added old vehicles from older Halo games that were just tossed away.
It would have to be a 3rd of the size of the ones in H3 otherwise they would get stuck on everything.
The Halo 3 ones weren’t even that big and it depends where you are attempting to drive it. If you keep on the pathway in the maps it would be fine.
I think it would have to be the centerpiece of a new warzone assault map. The offensive team would try to get the elephant in position to destroy certain objectives. The defensive team would need to defend the objectives and try to destroy the elephant. Something similar to how walker assault works in Battlefront.
Well… If you think about it a Scorpion can destroy an Elephant pretty easily. Like in the original Halo Wars a Scorpion would destroy an Elephant in like 3-4 shots so it really isn’t that OP if you were gonna use it in Halo 5. But I do agree with you, it could make a cool warzone gametype like in Battlefront walker assault but instead with elephants as a convoy heading to a certain destination that need to be protected by one team while the other is offence and has to destroy all the elephants before they reach their destination. That could be a great way to make Elites playable in Halo 5 so that it makes sense that they’re attacking the UNSC elephants while the spartans defend.

It would work on Noctus
otherwise not really, unless there’s a specific map for it made.

If you wanted Walker Assault in Halo 5, you could just use the Mammoth from Halo 4, it’s more of an assault/siege vehicle than the Elephant anyway, which is primarily utilitarian.

Yeah true, that would be better. I personally see Mammoths and Elephants the same vehicle though, just upgraded.

That’s quite the upgrade! LOL

Yeah but if you think about it the only thing different about them both is the mammoth has a roof and is a lot bigger. Anyways I think that even scarab assault would be cool, I remember replaying Halo 3 missions over and over just to fight the scarab. I thought it was the coolest thing and was just incredibly fun.
The only way the elephant would work is on a map as large as Sandtrap was and equally open. It would be useless on the current WZ maps.

They can always make specific maps for it, it’s not impossible.

I think that was what I was suggesting. They would just have to be huge and open. The core area would have to be larger to if it was being summoned in like other vehicles.

It could always be summoned just outside the core base, sort of like how the banshee soawns just outside, escept the mammoth or elephant would be spawned on the ground instead of in the air. It’d even be cool if a UNSC ship came and dropped it off.
The maps aren’t large enough to support Elephants. They’d be stuck on everything, especially on maps like Noctus or ARC.

That’s why we were talking about them creating specific maps to use them, either way we’re talking about all vehicles not just the elephant. But for me the elephant is probably one of the main ones that I think would be amazing to have along with the hornet.

We also don’t need the hornet because the Phaeton functions almost exactly like it minus the two passengers, though there have been more… exotic exceptions…
If any UNSC aircraft were to return it’d be the Falcon. That or, since we’re requesting something as large as an Elephant, the Vulture.
Yeah, and we can give them all kinds of different skins.

If you think about it the phaeton, banshee yet no UNSC aircraft? we’re in the 5th Halo game were the UNSC technology has jumped yet they don’t have any aircraft apart from pelicans and few others that can’t even be used in any game mode.
